Services
We believe in PEOPLE! People are at the heart of values and service. We believe in serving members in their financial dreams to achieve success in life, family, and service. Our roots run deep here in East Texas as locally formed and locally serving credit union. A small group of postal employees came together with a dream to form a financial cooperative to serve the needs of postal employees in Smith, Upshur, Van Zandt, and Wood counties.
Joining United Credit Union opens a financial world to experience banking as it should be. Credit unions will generally have lower rates on loans and higher rates on savings and investments. At United we believe in offering our members a choice. Choose from a variety of online services and in person services.
Kids heading off to college? Going on a cross-country trip? We have an ATM for you. United Credit Union is part of the ATM Coop Network. That means you can access your money at surcharge free ATMs not just in Tyler TX but nationwide! From Anchorage to Honolulu. Cheyenne to Orlando. College Station to Lubbock.
Let's cash in the 'piggy bank' and start earning interest in a money market account. At United CU our money market accounts are ideal for growing your savings yet not locking your funds for a specified time frame like a certificate. There is a minimum balance requirement of $1,000 to earn interest and avoid a monthly service fee.
Need a little cash? United understands sometimes life happens. Whether it is a special event, vacation, holiday, back to school, or any expense sometimes YOU just need a little more time to make that loan payment and use the funds for something else. Contact the credit union to see if your loan qualifies.

I am very disappointed with United Credit Union. I was a customer there for nearly 5 years. I've paid off 4 loans through them, 2 car loans, 2 signature loans, and currently stuck with them paying off a 5th signature loan. They tend to tell you things, then change the rules as they go. Be sure whatever business you have going with them, that you have it in writting! If they misinformed you, they will not own up to it. I was basically called a liar by Cherri, who refused to admit they misinformed me about 2 things. My loyalty to this CU ends here. Rude staff.

I own a business, and one of United Credit Union's members applied for financing at our office. They were approved, and United Credit Union sent us instructions on how we would be paid (i.e. funded).
I dealt primarily with Margarita H. She, in my opinion, is probably one of the rudest, most unprofessional, and lazy individuals I have ever dealt with. Seriously, her level of professionalism is abysmal, as we shouldn't have to repeatedly call to get the money that they owe us.
Next time I have a potential customer, I'll tell them to find another bank, as I refuse to deal with United
