Anchor Bay Bicycle & Fitness
Anchor Bay Bicycle & Fitness is a full service bike shop. We carry the Trek and Giant brands of bicycles. We have a wide selection of comfort bikes, mountain bikes, hybrids, cruisers, BMX and children's bicycles in stock, along with a full line of accessories to meet all of your cycling needs. We strive to deliver the best customer service possible.

We repair all brands of bicycles and exercise equipment. Our bike services range from tune-ups and minor repairs to complete overhauls, wheel building, custom frame assembly and component replacement. Despite the retirement of our Big Red Truck, our Mobile Service is still providing in-home and on site servicing of all brands and types of exercise equipment such as treadmills, stationary bikes, and ellipticals, as well as your bicycles of course.
Services
Anchor Bay Bicycle & Fitness opened its doors for business in May of 1996. Owner, John Trexler, began his career in 1972 at Jake's Bike Shop in Harper Woods. It was there that he developed his passion for the sport of cycling.

In addition to acquiring mechanical skills and mastering the art of wheel building, he helped construct the Madison Velodrome indoor board track, raced in the Debaets-DeVos Memorial Races at Chandler Park, and always looked forward to the Wolverine 200 Bike Marathon on Belle Isle every spring. Our Mobile Services started in October of 2011.
If you have difficulty transporting your bike to and from the shop for repairs or regular maintenance, we can come to your home, business, or any location that is convenient for you. If desired, or necessary, we can bring your bike to the shop for repairs and return it to you when the work is done.
The completely functional prototype took over 400 hours of woodwork to craft. If you have a picture of your vintage, rare, or just different bike that you would like to share, please email them to us. Check back often for new additions. With 40 gears and rear air suspension, this recumbent was ahead of its time and (for its time) over priced, which made it not very popular.

Very helpful and dedicated
The owner spent a week calling collectors trying to find an obscure axle that was made in 1971.

Repair work was fast and very good and would come here again if I had an issue I couldn't fix myself but I did not feel tune up was worth $75 (just my opinion) . No chain cleaning no indexing of gears. Owner did have me bring bike back to fix gear issue and had me ride around parking lot to make sure it was right. Could have done without him yelling FALL! FALL! though............

These guys are top notch. Great quality service and the only place I’d go to maintain my bike.
