Services
Bicycles take many forms depending on their intended use, and currently I'm building frames and forks for on and off-road riding: touring, cyclo-cross, "gravel grinding", mountain biking. Frames can be designed for very specific purposes such as time trialing or can be designed and built as a multi-purpose ride to handle a variety of terrain.
O'Leary Custom Built Mountain Bikes are built for all day comfort and performance - in the dirt. Currently all frames are 100% fillet brazed, using a 44 millimeter headtube, and 73 millimeter standard English threaded bottom bracket. Drop-outs come in a variety of styles but typically we use thru-axle styles.
O'Leary Custom Built Roadster Bicycles are designed for on-road/off-road use and the urban environment with a more upright posture than typical road bikes. We take our basic road frame design and make it compatible with upright handle bars, wider tires and braze-ons for racks and fenders. Comfort and efficiency are top of mind when building these utilitarian, human-powered vehicles.
Our process starts with a conversation with you about goals and aspirations for a custom bike. We discuss the pros and cons of any of your current rides, what type of riding you plan to do on your new O'Leary bike. And we will identify any postural issues or problems with cycling we can address in the new frame.

When I called Charlie I told him I wanted a hardtail mountain bike that would be awesome descending singletrack, but also be great for long bikepacking trips. He built me this beauty and I couldn't be more thrilled. The best compliment I can give this bike is that my enduro bike is now collecting dust in my garage. I just don't want to ride anything else.

Really a fantastic shop. Professional through and through and they even did a rush job on my Harley wheels so that I could go for a ride with my dad while I was still in town. Incredible results and truly a great experience! This is the only place to get your powder coating and bicycle needs in Santa Fe!!

Charlie refurbished my Merlin titanium frame, removing worn and cracked decals and adding new ones. He polished the frame and, once the makeover was done, it appeared as new. Charlie was totally responsive to my questions and requests and delivered the finished product promptly in a professional and courteous manner. I recommend his services without reservation.
