As a book lover, avid letter writer, and lifelong card designer, Lydia Evans has always intertwined the creative process with tangible designs. She has a dual degree in Studio Art and Government from Hamilton College and is an active member of the Chicago letterpress printing community. Lydia fell in love with letterpress a long time ago and began learning all she could about the art and craft of this printing method.
Soon she was designing and printing wedding invitations, personalized stationery, business cards, coasters, and anything else you can put in a vintage press. She uses Gordy to print each piece by hand, along with her 12x18 Chandler and Price named Bertha a.k.a. Big Girl), and a 10x15 Heidelberg (Herbie Wayne).

Lydia is beyond amazing! She did my wedding invitations and her attention to detail was impeccable. She made sure they were perfect, she gave me great advice and she was incredibly patient and professional. She made my design and project come true better than I imagined. If you are looking for something memorable, classy and stylish- hire Lydia. She created a custom brand for our entire wedding and everything flowed from the invitations to the thank you notes. Lydia was amazing to work with. She was able to hand draw my venues interior as my invites! She was so flexible to work with and brought a ton of samples and ideas to make our invite super unique. I would recommend to stop researching and just book her now if your considering an invite designer. Totally responsive and reasonable prices. Can’t say enough great things.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was working with Lydia! She put together our wedding invitation suite and during the process was always there to provide excellent suggestions and guidance on everything (layout, design, colors, proper wording, etc.)! This review is way overdue! Lydia was an absolute pleasure to deal with in the making of our wedding invitations. Being a novice graphic designer from Canada, we communicated via email and she made it super easy and simple to bring my vision and art to life. My mom had actually referred me to Lydia. I had no idea what letter press was but was definitely intrigued. Was I ever blown away!! The things that Lydia does is amazing! We ended up using her to do our wedding invitations, as well as thank you cards, and table cards for our wedding. I was referred to Lydia by one of my co-workers. Lydia had done invitations for her wedding as well. My fiancé and I didn't really have anything in mind as far as invites. We are very easy going and open to ideas. Lydia met with us and was able to provide many examples of what she has done. Her work is absolutely beautiful.
