CONSUMER BEWARE. They inspected faulty equipment they previously installed (over 10 years ago) and never provided quote, even after promising MANY times to deliver it. I had to constantly call them and for NOTHING. Highly advise you to consider all other options before attempting to work with this company. Do NOT give them your credit card number until you have an estimate and firm date of installation, and only then the absolute minimum. I was charged $190 for NOTHING! No quote, time wasted interacting with their office, and more time spent interacting with other bay area companies to schedule

I have waited over a month to write this review, so that my anger would calm down. Let's just say that the management at this company needs to go to business school. Their response to my complaint and questions have been quite distressing. If I could give me 0 stars I would. Let me explain:
About 3 years ago I contracted with EBP after my basement flooded ruining my heating system and water heater. I had a sump pump installed that I had bought from them years ago, and it failed. Fair enough. Pumps do fail. So I talked with their then manager about what to do. He suggested a new sump pump

They were servicing us every 6 mos. Turns out that they didn't practice good customer service by telling us that we only needed service yearly...but anyway, they did a service and a month later the sump stopped working. We called them, they came out, told us it was unplugged it, plugged it back in and left. The sump is located under the house, no one touched it, of that I am sure and they had just been there a month prior. So there is no way to prove how it got unplugged, though it definitely was not us and I'm not sure how else it could have happened. But even if they hadn&apos

Nicely Done Efrain! Had issues with my waterpump and Efrain came to have it replaced in less than 4 hrs. Mark came out to diagnosed the problem first and then they found a comparable replacement Goulds Pump. They had instock so came out next morning to do the job. Everyone seemed very knowledgeable and Professional! No BS and very straight forward. Great Job!!

I was referred to these guys by a plumber who has done great work for me, but a project was a bit too much for his company's capabilities with lots of digging involved.
So I called East Bay Pump and was told there would be a $95 transportation fee. I was a bit shocked at this amount, but I presumed it would be worth it if these guys would do good work. I went ahead and scheduled someone to have a look and get a quote. The person never showed up and had to call. I spoke with a representative and found out the previous job ran long and would have to reschedule. I was fine with this, but thought

East Bay Pump to the rescue, again. I have two East Bay properties with irrigation wells. It seems every 15 years or so some components need repair/replacing. Lo and behold, one of the wells kept tripping the circuit breaker and quit working, of course during our heat spell. East Bay Pump came out within days, diagnosed the problem and actually improved the well's performance - more steady water, better pressure with less cycling. It's nice to know we now have a very strong performing water source - 14gal/min, 24 hours a day if need be. And, by not using EBMUD water or irrigation

I had an excellent experience with them. I am a contractor so I know that time is money. They charge $150 to come out to your property to take a look and I understand why. I gave them my credit card number and they came out. Turns out my "well" is not a "well." Just a hole in the ground. They gave me a referral for a drilling company and we are still pricing out trying to get a well done on our property. Excellent and honest.

I've never been so disappointed with a service company in my life. Last summer I called East Bay pump out to look at my well a nice man showed up happily took my $150.00 and left. Since then I have never heard back from this company they literally took my money and left. I have called and talked to the manager who has promised me my $150.00 back more than once and yes you guessed it I've never gotten my money back.
Do not use this company they seem over worked and under staffed do yourself a favor and find another company.

After spending a day baling water in my basement and staring at sump pumps at Big Box stores I called East Bay Pump & Equipment. They set me up with an American made Zoeller pump and they, at no cost to me, attached PVC, check valves, & drilled air holes. They explained what they did and I walked out understanding what was really happening in my sump. They made the hard part easy. I will forever patronize them.

If you need ANY kind of sump or other pump for your house, these are the guys. They are super-knowlegable and very professional. I went down there to their office for a pump replacement and they detailed exactly the design flaw that was in my old pump, why it failed, and explained the new upgraded double gasket design in the new Zoeller pump, and made it real easy for me to replace it myself! OF course, they mostly do onsite service calls. Highly recommended!

This is my "go to" company for sump pumps. They were the most competitive in terms of pricing, most flexible in terms of timing, and when I needed help with a problem I caused, they came out on an emergy basis the same afternoon. Of course you pay emergency rates (and important to note that they do charge for travel time), but when you absolutely need help, they will find a way to get to you extremely quickly. My new house has multiple pumps so I have a feeling I'm going to need them more.

I got the two sump pumps I needed at a good price, with very helpful instructions by the manager about how to install them myself. I was given one of the small couplings I would need. I think the people are competent and friendly. Looks like they have a catalog for every pump under the sun. One star removed because I think they could use an intercom next to their entry door. They keep the door locked, apparently because of random disturbances.

Never again will I utilize this company. Service started off average and got worse. They gave me an arrival window from 10 to noon. They arrived at 3pm. They didn't phone to say they were running late. I had to track them down. They were in my basement for less than 5 minutes and that was $150.00. I called to Speak with the service rep. and was told he would phone me the next day -- he did not. I was told I would get a detailed email regarding the service and the estimate -- I did not. All of this was to have taken place 48 hours ago and I am still waiting. A point of interest:

We needed a repair on our pump that supplies water to our residence, and the receptionist went over the hourly rate with me over the phone and gave me the option of having the work done after hours at the after hours rate if I felt it was an emergency, or I could wait until the morning and pay the regular rate. I really appreciated them being up-front with the rate information and letting me choose which option would work best for us. The plumber who came to do the repair did the job quickly and efficiently, so I felt that we got a fair price for the work that was done.
