My story began in Queens, NY where I grew up. I have since become a design manufacturer of fine jewelry. It has been an exciting journey so far and I couldn't be more excited about what the future holds. Almost 30 years ago, I entered the jewelry industry as an independent salesman for a direct importer of fine diamond and gold jewelry from Italy.
Here at J Vincent Jewelers we have experts who can provide appraisals of all kinds including, but not limited to; Fine jewelry, diamonds, gemstones, sterling flatware, watches, and more. Our appraisers are both well-educated and experienced, and our accredited gemologist can properly identify and grade diamonds and colored stones.
It was the Saturday before Easter and we decided to spend the day in a local beach town that we spent a lot of time in. Once we arrive, Andrew asked if I wanted to take a quick walk on the beach - which should have tipped me off! He is never a beach lover, let alone during April. Before I knew it my dad and brother were with us, snapping pictures of the special moment.
One carat equals to 0.2 grams or 200 milligrams. Carat weight is the prime factor that determines the weight of a diamond. Larger diamonds are undoubtedly costlier. Carat makes expressing diamond weight easier as compared to milligrams. Instead of giving three labels to diamonds weighing 20 milligrams, 211 milligrams and 220 milligrams, carat offers a category for fitting the diamonds in a one category, placing these diamonds in one-carat range.
