I was experiencing some mommy burn out and this was the first massage I’d had in 4 years. Lexie took all my needs into consideration and then exceeded my expectations. She did stretches at the end which was the cherry on top. It’s obvious she takes her customers and her career very seriously which was much appreciated from this burnt out Mommy! Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. My appointment started on time and it was very relaxing. I booked a deep tissue massage and ended up getting something closer to a relaxation or gentle Swedish massage. It was still very relaxing and pleasant but the pressure just wasn’t there.

Therapist Kate did a great job! I like going to different therapists at different times so That's the Rub works well for me because it's not the same therapist every time (unless I choose).
The booking process is simple, the prices are reasonable and the intake process and the welcome on site are smooth and fantastic.

Got a 90 minutes deep rub with Samantha Willoughby. I appreciated the questions she asked before the massage, her use of the breath to begin and end the session, and the discussion of areas of the body that could use some attention outside of the appointment. Would highly recommend!

I have been dealing with an old foot injury for years. After a session with Daniella I have been pain free for a week. Daniella is amazing! Great personality, fun to work with and clearly knows her craft. I have never had a disappointing experience in over 7 years of being a regular customer (from any of the therapists) of That's The Rub and can't recommend them highly enough!

Lexi is a genius masseuse. She did an amazing job of gently attacking and loosening up my hips/butt/hamstrings. At first it seemed like she was going to stick with a pre-determined massage script, working through a checklist of body parts, but when she got to my glutes she took her time and responded to my needs.

I want you all to go somewhere else (so I don't have to wait in line for a spot at That's the Rub). :-) The Rub is flawless. I've been going there for years. I've had my favorite therapist, but they've all been consistent. The greeters are always friendly, the owner is always pleasant, and everyone is professional. It's the perfect downtown location and (most of all) it's "quiet"! I highly recommend the LaLa massage if you're looking to simply relax. I fall to sleep every time! So, go somewhere else so that I can get my rest.

Calming environment, professional, focused, effective. And I love the fact that they don't use scent in their work. Nothing fancy, just serious expertise. And Meg was amazing! I've had massages from several different people at That's the Rub, and they are all absolutely wonderful and expert. But Meg was special. Something about her technique really made a difference for me. I will definitely book with her again.

Tough place to review. Just kidding, I didn't have to think twice about giving 5 stars. Frankly speaking, this is one of the better places to get a massage in the Bloomington area. There is a huge variety of services and I'm sure anyone can find something they enjoy. That being said, it's a bit pricey. Of course, it's always a good feeling to be supporting local businesses.

I had such a wonderful experience at That's the Rub! My massage therapist was kind, professional, and really took the time to make sure I was getting the most out of my massage there. All of the staff was exceptional, the facility was clean and smelled GREAT, and the retail selection was fantastic. I can't wait to go back.

Both times I went it was very professional and the masseuses helped answer all my questions throughout the massage, even giving me some advice on how I should take care of my body to avoid injury/stress/tension. Very patient people and overall had a safe, relaxing vibe. You might have to ask for your tea at the end because they'll forget to give it to you.

Went in on a last minute need for a massage. They were booked in the initial day requested so I scheduled for a deep tissue massage the following day. When I arrived I was assigned to Kayla. She knew exactly what she was doing and was not afraid to get to work on the exact spots of tension in my back. She was precise and professional- would highly recommend.

The main reason I come here is for Carla. She used to work somewhere else, and when she came to TTR, I followed. She's a top-notch esthetician and makes an effort to get to personally know her clients. And of course, she pays attention to detail with brows and makes sure you leave happy. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my brows!!

Five star massage, four star location. The building situation is a little weird, but they really have done their best to give it a good vibe and atmosphere with low lighting and oil diffusers. You have to walk through lots of different hallways to get from the lobby, to the relaxation room, to your massage. There are no locker rooms or robes to change into so you are in the relaxation room in your street clothes. You change in the massage room. I had a two hour La La Massage with Kayla. I have been to That's The Rub about four times in the past year. Three with Kay and one with Kayla. Both ladies are absolutely amazing and I walk out calm and relaxed after each massage. Both ladies were attentive to my needs and wants, and they both offered wonderful suggestions for the areas I wasn't even aware needed work. The atmosphere is different than most massage centers I've been before, but it is extremely warm and welcoming.
And it doesn't hurt they have electric blankets on their tables - as if they could make you any more relaxed! Definitely the best in the area
