Pros: excellent, family friendly environment with something for everyone.
Cons: early arrivals that sit alone at each table and nurse their drink (soda) for a few hours while food purchasers are stuck standing and trying to eat without wearing their food.
Either more tables or courteous people that are willing to share the table instead of waiting for the friend that never shows.
I can't believe I've got to suggest etiquette towards others when it's obvious that people give the stink-eye when they're shushed off by a person needing a stable surface to put their food down.

Great food, wonderful ambience. There is plenty of parking but the later you get there the farther you will need to park. And if it is your first time dropping by make sure to bring your own chair, seating is limited as well. If you don't bring a chair you will be standing while you are trying to listen to the music, balancing your drink, all while trying to eat your food.

Independent Health always does a wonderful job of holding Fitness in the Park every year. This year even though it may not have been my regular prefered park and place to go for exercise; it still was a great venue.
The precautions and social distancing were appropriate outline for my choosen exercise class of Cardio Dance on Saturday morning from 10 am- 11 am. As you arrive you must wear your mask, check in and provide your name and contact information and select your spot by on an orange circle. My friend and I enjoyed the class, instructor was easy to follow, just wish the sun wasnt beaten

Super fun location with lounge chairs and multiple levels. At the time I went there was nobody there, but in general there tends to be quite a bit going on.
The chairs are modern and comfortable. The one I sat in had a large trampoline like seat.
The lounge chairs would be really nice to have at a location like canalside, since the view here is not anything too exciting (in my opinion).
Excited to go back when a few more things are happening.

I discovered Larkin Square when I switched jobs last summer. I went from working downtown and thought to myself "Now I'm going to miss being right there with everything." Little did I realize, there's so much more in the Larkin area than I thought! Everyone knows Larkin Square for Food Truck Tuesday, but it's so much more than that. In the summer and fall you can also find food trucks popping up occasionally on Wednesday evenings, and even during lunch hours throughout the week. There's a stage where bands play live, performing various genres of music. You can bring

I love what they are doing to this area! I've been down a few times for various things like to stop into Hydraulic Hearth or come to Food truck Tuesday. The area is great. Parking usually isn't too terrible.
I was able to come down recently for the NOLA night to see Buffalo Brass Machine. They had a few food trucks lined up and the bar was open.
This just has a great vibe about it with all the chairs and it looks kept up with the flowers and stage.
Keep it up Buffalo!

Another terrific Spree event. This one was to celebrate the " Best of". We were given a wristband and a medium-sized shopping bag when we turned in our tickets. I had a nice sampling of pasta with a light chunky tomato sauce from Ilio Di Paolo's, and was already feeling that I'd had enough to eat. Onward to Curley's where there was a lovely chicken salad served on a leaf of Boston lettuce and a pork slider. Giancarlos served colorful macarons and chicken sliders. Roast beef sliders from Eckl's. Community Beer Works, Buffalo Brewing Company had nice servings of their

Food truck Tuesday. Excellent idea for the space. I like that it is free to get into, unless you want premium parking which only costs $5.
We walked through and seen many food trucks, some were interesting and some were okay. Anyhow I tried a couple of trucks because the serving with small.
First-lazy Pierogi from Polish villa. Pretty good it was the highlight of food truck night for me. I never had ricotta cheese in mine, but hey who doesn't love cheese.
Second-Ru's Pierogi. These were a miss for me. I wanted to mix a couple different varieties but you can't, if you visit their

Food Truck Tuesday.. Yeah! If you like to people watch and like crowds this is the place to be. Meeting my friends for dinner after work this was pretty great idea. Being the first time, we weren't prepared for the volume of people and lines for food. Including a place to eat.
I had a great time listening to the music while waiting in lines for our food. Once we received our food we found a spot to stand and ate. Unfortunately for my friend she had trouble eating her chicken and waffles because she really needed a table and chair to sit and eat.
We did enjoy this but some things we

I went to Larkin Square this past week for Food Truck Tuesday. It was $5 just to park which is crazy if you want the suburbanites to visit the city. It was nice to see an adequate police presence to bring your family downtown. It was very crowded after work around 5pm. I would recommend bringing your own portable chair so you have something to sit on. Otherwise it's standing room only to eat, drink and listen to the band. The live music was great. We only had the pasta but the lobster mac n cheese and the caprese mac n cheese were fantastic. Bring cash or credit because 2 macaroni dishes and

Food Truck Tuesday is always a great time as long as you don't mind a crowd. It starts at 430pm and if you want a chair or table space, you should get there at 4pm and stake out your spot. You can bring folding chairs and blankets in and make your own area to eat. The food truck line up changes from year to year. As long as you go with an open mind on what you are willing to eat, you won't have to wait long. Some trucks have really long lines, while others have no line at all. There are multiple stations to purchase beer and wine, just make sure to get your wristband from security on

So many great things happening at Larkin Square now that it's summer!
Food Truck Tuesday is my favorite day of the week. Tons of food trucks come out and there is live music and it's just a fun time!
Wednesdays are Live at Larkin, another free live music event, and normally there are a few food trucks.
The Filling Station, a permanent year-round restaurant is Larkin Square is also a great choice, especially in the winter.
If you're coming to an event, ride your bike and bring a camp chair as it can get quite busy.

This place owns my night every Tuesday during the summer for Food Truck Tuesday. Several food trucks with foods and desserts of all kinds merge to create a food extravaganza! They come from Buffalo and Rochester so you get a detour from the same local trucks or enjoy the local flavour without chasing a truck down the street in a blind hangry panic. There is huge entertainment area with live music and big comfy chairs, but it can get crowded. But back to the food. I recommend the Macarollin, 716, flaming fish, amys place (no bias, I swear), and whole hog; but I am open to all suggestions.

Food Truck Tuesdays. That's really the only time I ever get the chance to head down to Larkin Square, and as we should all know by now, those events are usually packed throughout the evening (to quote my dad, "it's like herding cattle!"). But even though I still haven't had the chance to fully appreciate the square without the massive crowd, I still give the Square a thumbs-up.
The way they designed the whole area is very impressive; with the Filling Station in the center, the pavilion with shade, lounge chairs and the loft with seating -- it doesn't get any cooler

The pigeons and seagulls totally took over the town square, so this place has been campaigning to have larks (from all over the USA) not only introduced into the square, but accepted as equal birds alongside the pigeons and seagulls, who have long discriminated against larks. The first time a lark was able to stay in the square without being chased out, the Buffalo News ran the headline "LARK IN SQUARE", and it stuck, which is how this square got its name. Honest.
This is really, really impressive, even by my lofty "I've been everywhere, and seen everything" standards

I've been to Larkin Square in the past and this previous Tuesday, I went again to enjoy some Food Truck Tuesday.
I love that Larkin Square exists in Buffalo. It's certainly a multipurpose area as there are several different types of events. From Food Truck Tuesday to the author series to Live at Larkin on Wednesdays, there is something for everyone. Not only are the events free but there is also free parking!
While I'm looking forward to more visits to Larkin Square this summer, it isn't just a summer venue. There are events into the fall and winter months! Check out larkinsquare

Ever since I discovered Larkin Square a few years ago, I was in disbelief (the good kind). This is Buffalo?! They did such an amazing job renovating this completely destitute space and making it into a destination. Kudos to all involved in this massive project.
It's the perfect place for an outside festival. There's a stage area, bar and a lot of comfortable furniture to hang back and relax. During the day, you can come outside and hang back with free Wifi.
During the spring and summertime, they began organizing Food Truck Tuesdays. Every Tuesday, about 30+ trucks gather here and thousands

A pleasant surprise in the downtown area. I'm not sure how often the concert series is, but I highly recommend checking this out. It's just a really nice setup for a relaxed night out with friends. And free parking!
Drinks are cheap. It's $5 for a glass of Lucky Star Pinot Noir or Chardonnay. They are served in plastic cups, which is less than ideal... but, it's a picnic type setting so it does make it a little better. They have Rusty Chain and Coors Lt drafts for $5 as well. The uniform pricing seems a but high for a Coors Lt, but it does speed up the lines to get drinks since
