Services
Kodiak Hana Restaurant is popularly known by locals as the Old Powerhouse Restaurant, which was our former name. Our restaurant is housed in what was once an electric company's generator plant and was started by Tom and his family who visited Kodiak and loved it so much that they decided to stay. You'll be sure to have delicious food as well as an overall amazing experience when you dine at Kodiak Hana.
We love the PowerHouse and eat here regularly. The bento boxes for lunch are an excellent value and include a nice variety of dishes. Our favorite is the sushi though - Tommy San does an amazing job and we enjoy it all. Try the Blackjack or the Midnight Rolls, or whatever he has on special that night.

The Old Powerhouse/ Kodiak Hana Restaurant is a treat anytime we go. The long term staff is incredibly kind and warm and the sushi chefs are always smiling. We love that they recognize us (even if they just call us Amiga and Amigo) and always remember we will need extra extra wasabi before we ask. It’s the little things that go a long way. Small town gem.

Been there many times and it’s my top choice for Japanese cuisine of all types, but also excellent steaks, seafood and other notable non-Japanese cuisine.

High-quality sushi served in a comfortable environment with friendly staff. Clearly understaffed right now — I didn’t need to see the help-wanted sign to know that — but still worth a visit.
Reservations are suggested, but they managed to accommodate our group of 5 on a Monday night with no wait. You won’t have as much luck on a busy Friday or weekend day.
Expect to spend a bit more — for five people with entrees and drinks, we paid $190. Dinner for two might run you $50.

Love it here! Have been coming here since the place opened and it has never disappointed me. Whether it's to grab a box lunch or go out on a dinner date, this is the place to be. Tom-San and his family and employees are always friendly and the food is always fresh and delicious. My personal favorites are the Miso Black Cod (to die for!), and the Golden Dynamite Roll.
