Pocono Sign Company is a family business that has been in the sign industry for over 25 years. It all started over 25 years ago when my father, John Terwilliger, and uncle, Robert Terwilliger, decided to open their own sign shop.
The sign patriarchs started in a garage and built their way up to the number one sign company in Orange County, NY. Which once was a fine art of hands-on wood carving has now been modified into a great technical skill of routing with a 3D Software program. A finished dimensional product can be achieved in a quarter of the time. From panels milled to simulate a sandblasted wood sign, to sheets milled to replicate split block, brick, or stone.
Most commercial awnings today are made with a welded aluminum frame which is then covered with material (canvas, vinyl, etc.). This gives you a large range of frame styles to choose from. The frame is welded together with aluminum tubing and then in most cases covered with a material. The most common ways to cover the frame with the material is a staple in the system or a tie system.
