Shawn has gone from owning and starting a few restaurants from the ground up. Specializes in food truck catering and Restaurant happiness. Our passion is to excel in comfort food, and good ole BBQ.

Our meats are hand rubbed with mesquite smoked flavored for 10 plus hours. Our BBQ sauce is hand made with 15 plus seasonings. Food was crazy good. Family, warm atmosphere. Only downside that could be found is that they aren't open enough. I would go there for more meals if lunch wasn't their only meal served.

We went here on Monday and were surprised by the service and quality of the food. I had the two meat platter. Brisket was tender and full of flavor and chicken was really tasty. Friend had a chef's special sandwich and he really liked it. Beans were very good peppery and different. Very good. I'll go back and want to try the chicken Fried Steak. Lots of customers were eating it and it looked really good.

What happens when there's a frito shortage? The wonderful people from Chopped and Sliced BBQ improvise and create this fun take on a traditional frito pie using Honey BBQ Fritos (minus the cheese for me)!
Let me tell you about how this happened and how awesome these people are:
I ordered a regular frito pie with no cheese because I can't have dairy. There was a mistake and the one I had received had cheese on it but I didn't notice until I was home. I gave them a call and they let me know they had given out the last of their fritos and informed me of the shortage, but they had some Honey BBQ

VERY disappointed 👎 My son ordered and had my folks bring me a Chicken Fried Steak meal from here a couple weeks ago due to I was unable to join them for lunch. That was one of the best chicken fried steaks I'd eaten in town. However, we stopped in there yesterday after a Dr visit for my dad. Ordered the CFS meal due to the former one was so good. It was a To Go meal. Both my moms and my CFS meal was horrible. Hardly ANY breading and it tasted funny as did the gravy. It looked like it had been warmed on a griddle. And the cornmeal muffin was hard and dry 🤔 And my dad's chopped bbq sandwich

Mac and cheese had poblano peppers without the menu stating this. Watch out if you have kids that are very spicy.

The best BBQ in Lubbock hands down. If you're looking for real Texas BBQ this is the place to go. The restaurant is small, so arrive early during lunch hours.

We stopped in here looking for some good BBQ while in the great state of Texas. Chopped and Sliced did not disappoint! We went with their grilled cheese with pulled pork. The way the meat pulled apart was so good. I could also smell and taste he smokiness of the meat. Stop in if you are visiting!

We went based on reviews of BBQ in town and we weren't disappointed. But it was the server that led me to leave this review. Charming, polite, knowledgeable, and treated us really well. I didn't get her name. The BBQ was perfect and we loved the fried pickles and banana pudding.

Update - Catfish on Fridays! BEST I've ever had!!
Went there today for lunch and loved it! The service was amazing. We ordered brisket, ribs, and jalapeno sausage and all of it was delicious. Fried corn! It's literally a mini cob breaded and deep fried but so good! Definitely recommend!!

Why make a choice? Put them ALL on a sandwich with some coleslaw and call it The Pit Master! But don't stop! Have a side of jalapeño mac&cheese!

Wonderfully charming service did not twist my arm. I ordered banana puddin for dessert!.

This is delicious! Everything we ate tasted homemade and they modified my sandwich to exactly how I wanted it- thank you!!
Hubs had Pot Belly Slim (nothing slim about this!) burger (patty includes brisket) with pulled pork, brisket, cheese , pickles, onions and bacon plus side of okra. Texas bbq for lunch- mine was smoked turkey club (I held the pulled pork and bbq sauce) get a load of that deep fried corn on the cob! So yummy!
Service was friendly, prompt and efficient. Definitely recommended.

I looked up best BBQ in Lubbock and Chopped and Sliced was on the top 10 list and I have to agree! I got the brisket and pulled pork with the mac & cheese and homestyle potato salad. All so delicious! My husband wanted to buy the bbq sauce he loved it so much, but they don't bottle it...yet. Hope to see that in the future. Great service and friendly people. First time in Lubbock and had a great experience!

We ate here for lunch today and were very impressed with the taste and quality. The pulled pork was moist and flavorful, the baked potato salad was delicious and exactly what I hoped for. The boys had the brisket, they said it was moist and had an excellent smokey flavor. We will definitely go back, next time we visit Lubbock.

No one was wearing a mask. Not the kitchen staff, not the waitstaff, no one. I will not be back to support a place that doesn't believe in basic safety protocols set by the state.
Also, the BBQ was just ok. The green chile mac'n'cheese was runny and the potato salad wasn't good.

Due to our original stop being closed, we went the other direction on 50th and found this gem. Every bit of food was great. The copped beef, the jalapeno sausage, the cracked black pepper sausage, and the sliced brisket. To top it off, the okra was some of the best I've had in a long time. And, the baked potato salad is a new favorite. Excellent all around - taste, service, and price.

I decided to go ahead and get the chopped brisket sandwich with a side of fries. The brisket was tender but tasted as if it was drowned in liquid smoke. After my first couple of bites I couldn't help but notice a weird plasticky after taste. The BBQ sauce was lack luster and could be mistaken for the BBQ sauce you'd get from a school cafeteria. The fries were decent but could use a hint more of salt and seasoning, a little bland for my liking. To sum it up, this is just another run of the mill BBQ joint. I do enjoy supporting small

One of the favorite spots for bbq! Highly recommend to try a variety of their meats. Pork and especially brisket were super tender; sausage wasn't our favorite but still good.

Nothing fancy at chopped and sliced. The bbq sandwich was piled high with meat. Ask about their award winning sandwich (I can't remember the name right now). It was excellent. The fried pickles are very good as is the green chili Mac and cheese. Don't let the appearance or location scare you off, this place is worth it.

Did I mention the free beer? It's true
