After many years as a customer, Sacto CU, I see it going downhill. The fact that they are small and friendly has made up for it until now. $1,000 in fraudulent charges to my account. Their fraud alert did not catch it; their investigation dragged on until the dispute date for the vendor had long passed. The CU says it's between me and the vendor. The vendor can't find the charges. I'm out $1,000 and the CU did nothing. They are behind the times. Their internet is often down. I can't afford to be their customer anymore. I'm moving my account to a bigger CU. Beware.

I have banked at many different banks in the Sacramento area, I have found that Sac Credit Union to be the best. I have been a customer for many years and have never been disappointed in any aspect with this bank. I judge a bank on whether or not I have to think about it, with Sac Credit I dont have to think about it they just do it right. They are always helpful both on the phone or in person. I really like the alerts on my card usage and we have caught some unauthorized charges and stopped them before could effect my account. As long as I live in Sacramento I will never bank with anyone else

I have been a customer of this credit union on and off since moving to Sacramento in 2000. I am really surprised to see all of the one-star ratings. For one thing, this credit union has great loan rates. Granted they are a little behind the times in some areas, such as they don't offer lines of credit as overdraft options like most of their local credit union counterparts do. But, I have had car loans, mortgages, savings, checking, and trust accounts for my kids here, and in almost every situation and with every transaction I have had really good service. I have never encountered worse customer service in my life. I am trying to find time to go close my account cause every time I go there I feel violated by ignorance and rudeness of their employees. This is 800 H street location I am referring to.

Hello folks I was 1st a member in 1990 subsequently I moved to different job and closed my account. I came back last year and was delighted that it has the same feeling of that small time bank that delivers excellent customer service. I like their leader at the helm he is really shrewd and it's a good profit sharing. The people make money at this little bank. I strongly recommend SCU

Worst bank to pay your bills online with a 3rd party! I have tried to pay my dish network bill and my verizon bill with this bank and everytime the bank refuses to pay. Money is in the account to pay but the bank reverses the payment! No reason at all! I have never banked at a bank where I have to call the bank to fight with them to allow me to use my own money to pay a bill!

Worst experience ever. John Whitney was so unprofessional and made my experience unpleasant. I simply went into the bank to cash a check I had Id but they made it so difficult to cash a check they need to talk to the person before cashing the check. So I called him on my phone and then the manager said he needed to call the branch he would not talk to him over my phone. I'm really disturbed by this situation because the manager was rude and mean. I will never come back to this bank again.

5005 Foothills Blvd Suite 1E , Roseville , is the new Roseville branch.

Christina Narain, a loan officer, saved me financially when she looked for the best way for me to afford some critical repairs and also remodel while it was prudent to do so, at the lowest rate.

Thank you Sac CU for opening in Roseville! You are all so kind, considerate and professional! It is on the corner of Junction Blvd & Foothills Blvd between Calif Family Fitness & Original Pete's Restaurant. Parking is good. Open Monday thru Saturday.

Every single one of my family members has an account here. No one had ever had any issues until this year. I cannot believe I have to write this review.

I deposited a check at an ATM within the Co-Op network. You know, the network where you can deposit your checks "from wherever" as I was told. Apparently, this is completely wrong.

I deposited a check at a Golden One ATM in San Francisco. It was for $$$$$. I forgot to endorse it. Instead of calling me, this bank decides to deduct said $$$$$ without notice two weeks after the check was deposited, overdraft my account by $$$$$

I have to select star or cant leave a review. If I could I would RATE: 0 STARS from me.

I have been banking with SCU for over 21 years. Except when I opened my account, I cant remember one time I received good customer service when I needed it. Here are a few examples:

I have been charged fees due to their negligence

I was refused a partial car loan because I wouldn't give up my SS# until they answered a few simple questions about their loan process, I was more than qualified for the loan.

When I did buy a car from one of their sponsored events, the $100 discount card was not honored

Went to this location because the branch by my workplace has limited hours & capability. However I'm a bit disappointed with the customer service at this location. I requested to see a 'person at the desk' for the needed service (loan payback). The lady sitting at the desk probably had more important things to do than to greet me so I took the initiative instead and said hello. When I told her that I would like to pay off my loan (not a small amount) she firmly stated "You could have done that at the counter". How rude of me to inconvenience her. How dare I waste

They are always so helpful and nice. I also had a problem with my account once and the manager stayed after closing to finish up fixing my problem. I love this branch and the bradshaw staff. Although, I feel the people at this branch are more friendly and engaging with the customers.

=)
Only downfall is not having access to anyone on a weekend.

Love the location of this branch and its customer service reps! I have never been disappointed and always leave with a smile on my face :) the customer service reps are totally friendly and impressively remember my name and face when I walk into the door. They add that additional special touch to your visit. Normally I utilize all of their online services with the exception of withdraws and deposits of cash and checks.

During their lunch hour they usually have a small line of two or three people. Love how they are able to process each individual transaction with awesome customer service and

I have to go back a long time to find a situation where  feel like I was more ripped off.  My story centers around a banking error on my part, which I take full responsibility for, and in attempting to correct my error, Sacramento Credit Union decided it was a great opportunity to hit me with more (unwarranted) fees.  A little back story:  I opened an account at a different local credit union due to some other concerns I had regarding Sacramento Credit Union.  Now, I am very tech savvy and pay almost all my bills using a third party bill pay service.  I had to write a rare check last week
