Next Generation Signs
I started making signs in 1995 after graduating college as a certified Art Teacher (K-12) from Montclair State University in NJ. Since then I've achieved 2 NY Vocational Teaching Certificates (7-12) in Commercial Art & Graphic Imaging while teaching inside a maximum security prison, and most recently moved to Sussex County Delaware to start the next chapter of Next Generation Signs.

I have always been involved with Art, from a child to an adult. Many of the "core" techniques taught to me over the years, carry over to all the designing of my signs. Anyone can type some text into a computer and print a "sign", but few know what looks correct and pleasing to the eye. That's what experience does.creates a well balanced, visually pleasing sign that conveys the customer's thoughts and wishes for their business.
Services
Traditionally, carved and sandblasted signs have been made of wood. The problem is that over time wood decays and warps even with the best preparation, and you need another sign. HDU (high density urethane foam) is the best material available for this type of sign and we don't recommend anything else.
As a "full service" sign company, we do just about everything; starting with the first contact and ending with the installation. But, if interested we can discuss a "maintenance plan" to keep your signage looking new for longer; just ask.

We provide everything you need to complete your sign; from in-person meetings, discussion and recommendations for materials, colors & finishes, full designing, and installation; plus, municipal permits for towns when necessary. We service all types of signs; from a simple name change, a repaint or update, electrical component replacement (bulbs, ballasts, transformers, etc.), weather damage repairs, and just about anything else you can ask of us.
For the most part, vehicle lettering is designed with high performance vinyl, then applied to the truck, van, car, trailer, etc. We only use high performance vinyls because of how long they last (typically 8-10 yrs), and retain their original appearance. The HP vinyl cost a little more, but will outlast and out perform any low grade vinyls (which shrink, peel, and discolor) and will make you happier in the long run.
Multi-material signs have numerous substrates (wood & metal, metal & vinyl, etc.) combined to achieve the look the customer is seeking, but saving cost by utilizing readily available, lower cost materials, and taking them to the "next level" with expert techniques. Materials available are.metals, wood, HDU foam, plastics, vinyl, and anything else that withstands the elements the sign will be exposed to?
With the sign industry changing rapidly to accommodate the "green", environmentally friendly building practices, we strive to be up to date with current options for electrical signage. LED, Solar, Halogen, etc. Obviously, a new sign constructed with these "green" practices would be easiest from the beginning, but ANY electrical sign can be "retro-fitted" with this type of technology, and could be as easy as a light bulb change.
