I'm Kim Valente, the founder and principal designer at Brick + Beam Studio. On some level, I've always known I wanted to be an interior designer. As a child, I spent hours rearranging my room, dreaming of remodeling old homes and imagining how my surroundings could be improved. With my longstanding love of all things interiors, it was easy to decide to go to school for interior design.
I attended Endicott College and after graduating I worked for several different design studios and architectural firms on a variety of project types including corporate offices, medical offices, biotech, museums, higher education and residential. Working for these design firms allowed me to refine my skills and creative home and office space interior design ideas.

Brick + Beam Studio is a full service residential and commercial interior design studio based in Westerly, RI. We specialize in creating homes and offices that are functional, liveable, and inviting. We start by learning how you work and live, then we seamlessly weave that into our design to create spaces that function for your everyday life.
We understand that starting an interior design project may feel intimidating and overwhelming, we are here to make the whole design and construction process easier for you. Our job is to guide you through every step of the journey, from the initial design concept to installation day. We work closely with you to keep you informed throughout your project but we are careful not to inundate you with all of the day to day details.
Brick + Beam Studio specializes in stylish and functional, family-friendly interiors. We can create designs for a single room or for your full home, from a decorative refresh of your existing space to the design of your brand new build or remodel. We are here to guide you through every step of the design process to create a home that is a true reflection of you and your family.
Brick + Beam Studio offers interior design services for a variety of investment properties including model homes and condo units, multifamily residences, and vacation rental properties. A well designed space, both in terms of function and aesthetics, will greatly increase the value of your property.
For a renovation or new build, you should contact us as soon as you start thinking about the project - do not wait until construction has started. Bringing us in at the true beginning of the project allows us to advise on changes that could be made to the layout to make your finished project even better.

Dear Kimberley,
Yesterday, I was overwhelmed when I saw my room all put together. I knew I liked all the components we chose, but seeing the finished product blew my mind. Also, I love the functionality and additional storage space I have now.
Sarah loves her curtains, shower curtain and the storage chest. We all love our window treatments/shades.

I loved working with Kim to renovate my main bathroom! Kim is a skilled professional that has an excellent eye for space planning and design. She is kind, client-centered and competent. I never felt like she was trying to upsell me on anything or force me into decisions that I did not agree with. She took on the project management elements of the work with ease and selected a meticulous contractor as a partner. Kimberely has a wondeful eye for decorating spaces. She is able to work with all kinds of budgets, large and small. She is a hands on owner and you will always deal with her personally, not a staff member. She is courteous, on time and promptly responds to all communications. I highly recommend her.
