Meet JoAnn Sparks, owner and founder of The Salty Florist. JoAnn lives in Falmouth where she and her husband Jim raised their three beautiful children and where she began her career in floral. After earning a degree in design, JoAnn became fascinated with floral. At her first job, She watched, and learned, and eventually began designing her own custom pieces.
We know that planning a wedding can be challenging and stressful. We are here to help you relax knowing that you are in the hands of true floral experts. We will walk you through the best choices and options for your style, venue and season- in addition to providing creative and innovative arrangements that will make your special day stand out!
Remember though, that weddings are a highly personalized celebration of YOUR love, and that no two weddings are alike. We treat each of our couples with the utmost attention and creativity. We work with each couple to create a floral theme that is tailored specifically to them. I ordered a dozen red roses for our 6th wedding anniversary Monday and picked them up that afternoon. The florist recommended English roses. When I picked them up they were beautiful, however, within a few days they were wilting and had not started opening, despite my being told they would last 10 days. I called the florist and she apoligized and sent someone to replace these roses with another dozen. It is now only 4 days after I received the replacement roses and they are wilting and not opening either. A few have even fallen off of their stem. We replaced the water every few days. JoAnn was incredibly helpful, responsive, and flexible. She listened to everything I was hoping for and did a wonderful interpretation of my creative direction. We had a very small pandemic-friendly wedding and we could not have been more pleased with how it all turned out. We got a first delivery from the salty florist for my mother-in-law when she was here convalescing and it was absolutely stunning and lasted almost 3 weeks. Today I got my second delivery a gift from a friend… and again it's absolutely stunning. The special touch with the wooden gift card on it is absolutely beautiful. I can't recommend this company highly enough.

My daughter's out-of-state boyfriend called The Salty Florist to send her a bouquet of flowers for a special occasion. He had very particular requests to match the occasion. So, while the options on her website are great, he wanted a bouquet made 'from scratch.' The bouquet was so so beautiful and got even prettier as the cut flowers continued to bloom and open. My daughter loved it and, when he saw pictures, her BF said it was exactly what he had described (or better!) when he ordered it. I know Joann does a lot of wedding and big events but it was so lovely to see she put the same time and care

I’ve ordered bouquets from Joann on multiple occasions and she never ceases to impress me with her stunning and thoughtful arrangements. Joann takes the time to understand your needs and creates truly one-of-a-kind arrangements that anyone would be excited to receive. She is talented and clearly takes pride in her craft!
