Bread and Roses is a small, independent bakery and cafe in Yachats, Oregon. Our mission is to create healthy and delicious breads, pastries, soups, desserts and coffee drinks. We believe that good food is an essential part of the human experience; it nourishes the mind, body, and soul. We work with an attention to detail and a passion for quality.
We specialize in sourdough and whole-grain breads, we use organic flour from Camas Country Mill (much of which is grown locally in the Willamette Valley). Our organic and fair trade coffee beans are sourced from Cafeto Coffee in Eugene, Oregon. We start with wholesome high quality ingredients and carefully craft them into edible works of art.

Visited on a Saturday and bought a large collection of pastries. The chocolate croissant and cinnamon rose were my favorites. I came back the next day during farmers market and picked up another cinnamon rose. It's an intense punch but I found it delicious and memorable! The staff is very chill and kind.

Excellent bakery well worth going out of your way, if necessary, to try some of their delights. Very good savory croissant filled with goat cheese and prosciutto... And just a touch of herbs or spices. This gentle touch with flavors extends across their sweet pastries too. Their cinnamon rose is the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. Not cloyingly sweet, light pastry and a touch of something different - clove? Also enjoyed their fruit filled items like the bubbly pie and celestial snail. No one taste overwhelms....all show a great balance of flavors that makes their pastry memorable.

This is my must visit every time I get here place. Fresh baked bread, croissants (plain, sweet, and savory), cupcakes, strata, and coffee! This is a great place for a light breakfast. I have tried just about everything on my trips to Yachats. The salmon and prosciutto croissants are yummy for breakfast. The strata is a savory veggie option. They also have granola that is fresh made. The almond croissant I'd delightfully light and perfect with a hot cup of tea! They are local and amazing.

I visited this bakery on the day they re-opened after having closed for COVID restrictions. For someone who loves pastries and bread, this place is Nirvana! I had a purpose in mind-to find cupcakes or another dessert for my daughter's birthday. They had a unique offering- thick slices of cake filled with ganache and covered with a delicious icing! My daughter was delighted with this alternative to birthday cake! I also got a blueberry muffin which contained a good amount of berries. I will for sure revisit this bakery! I apologize for no photos as I was on the road.

Killer food. Good prices. Quality coffee. It’s not your typical bakery with bagels and cookies. The selection is also quite limited. But everything they do have there is exceptional. We tried the strava, which is like a quiche. It was mouthwateringly good. We also tried a blueberry muffin, a cinnamon roll, a prosciutto croissant and a cream-filled eclair. All the food was top-notch.
Space is somewhat limited.

Update July 2020.
Stood in line for 15 min. We asked about the Strata (baked eggs, cheese and artichokes), a 2.5" x 2.5" square for $5.75? No ty.
I bought 2 muffins and a 4" bear claw, $12.75.
Thats $4.25 each and made yesterday at that.
Not impressed with the quality. Pacific Sourdough in Waldport is much better and less expensive.
Not to mention the rude staff.

Just half a block off the 101, this little place has beautiful and delicious baked goods and breakfast options. Specialty drink menu is for dine in only, unless you bring your own cup. Drip coffee available to go. All items were amazing. This is a great place to sit and linger, but takes a little while if you are hoping to grab and dash. Food was absolutely lovely and very delicate. Friendly welcoming vibe.

I knew from the moment I saw the decor, this may be a small business I would love to support, I was not wrong. The cheesecake is creamy and not overly sweet, the carrot cupcake was dense and the frosting creamy. The hippie bread...there is a reason they sell out fast.
We will be back and will refer everyone coming through this costal town to support this business, the environment and ingredients are filled with love.

This is a great little place to stop while in Yachats. It's a cozy little atmosphere with a lot of baked goodies. I noticed afterwards that they have sandwiches as well, so I will definitely have to make another trip over here.
I had a delicious blueberry and lemon muffin with freshly made hot chocolate. The chocolate was delicious and it comes in two different sizes. They don't put any whipped topping on it and for that I'm grateful.
Cozy atmosphere inside and when the weather allows there is outside seating.
It appears to be a local's hangout. All in all a good
