Villa Bellezza
Villa Bellezza is an Old World winery and vineyard experience. It is designed as a small Italian village with its tasting room, restaurant and piazza. When you visit us, you will be transported from Wisconsin to Italy. At the center of the piazza is the village fountain. On three sides of the piazza are porticos that protect you from rain in summer and heaters that keep you warm in winter.

Derick and Julianne Dahlen have created this escape for our guests, our staff, and ourselves. We want to be in this place and to enjoy this life. Our Famiglia Bellezza wants you to be happy when you are here and to think fondly of your experience. Wine wants to be accompanied by food. As part of our rural Italian experience, our restaurant, Il Forno, serves "country" Italian food.
Services
Il Forno is our Country Italian restaurant. The open kitchen features a large brick oven (il forno) for baking our pizzas and pasta al forno. You can enjoy our food in our restaurant dining room, in the piazza bellezza, or as take-out. Wine is always available. Our tasting room, Il Forno Ristorante, and our event center create the piazza of a small Italian town.
Wine is enhanced by food. We provide food experiences in our Country Italian restaurant, Il Forno, in cooking classes, and food for take-out. We use wine in the preparation of many of our menu items. We have wines that are well suited to each of our foods. We serve antipasti, salads, panini, and pizza from our Pronto Menu.
A brick oven is the center of a country Italian restaurant. Ours is built of limestone and is more than 8 feet across with a hearth of 5 feet. We fire the oven with oak logs and grape vine prunings which adds some fruity smoke to our pizzas. House-made crust, shaped by hand, authentic sauce, fresh ingredients and baked to perfection in our wood-fired brick oven.
He is an innovator and the father of the pizza biscotta, the twice-baked pizza. Chef Antonio joined Villa Bellezza in 2017 as our Food Service Director. The only thing that he likes more than cooking is talking food with people which makes him a great head of our cooking school. Our cooking school, La Scuola, is a participation cooking school located in the Sala del Vino adjacent to the winery production building.
We look forward to you bringing your family and friends for your wedding at Villa Bellezza. Celebrate your love in a romantic place that will continue to be a part of your life. Return throughout your life to experience our small Italian village and to relive your wedding day. And as your family and circle of friends grow, Villa Bellezza can be a part of their lives-all members of La Famiglia Bellezza.

Our first visit to Villa Bellezza’s classical Mediterranean style winery a few years back inspired awe and planning for several return visits.
Our classic car club group enjoyed a full tour led by the owners and tasting their award-winning wines. We enjoyed an Italian dinner on the piazza – the il Forno restaurant. My favorites are the muscles and salads. Having now been there about a half dozen times, it always feels like we are stepping into another world of luxury and adventure.
For a mere $5, guests can sample a few wines in the Tasting Room - made from grapes grown on location. Villa

It's Christmas Market season Saturdays & Sundays in November and December! There's a nice little selection of vendors in the piazza and Great Hall, plus an extra food station in the Great Hall. Il Forno is also open for sit-down meals, but definitely make a reservation.
Absolutely stunning location with delicious food and friendly, knowledgeable service. This is as close to Tuscany as you can get in the Midwest. The food was mouthwatering, authentic Italian served indoors or on the large courtyard patio. The wine tasting room is a very fun experience, 4 wines for $5 - you choose 3, and the sommelier

We ordered pasta, pizza and a beet salad for takeout and unfortunately, we were disappointed.

The Alfredo pasta and the lasagna were both just OK and the portion sizes were very small for the price.... $22 seems a bit high for a small portion of pasta, a mixed green salad and a store-bought roll.

The margarita pizza was not much better than something you can get from the freezer section at your local grocery. The crust was pre-made that came out of a bag and then they topped it and warmed it in the wood-fire oven.

On a positive note, the beet salad was very good. Full of flavor and a good

Best winery in the Upper Midwest. Beautiful facilities for wine tasting along with experienced and knowledgeable staff make it an enjoyable destination for all levels of wine lovers. Did I mention their wine is excellent. Red or White, you can something you like. If you go on a sunny day, it will feel like you are in a small vineyard in Italy.

Amazing winery/escape to Italy! Food was deliciously authentic. (Even the GF pizza tasted better than others) True wine tasting versus the typical flights style every where else’s does it. Our tasting leader was great at suggesting wines to taste, explaining the wines, asking us what we tasted and brought wine tasting down to layman’s terms. The grounds are beautiful. We will be back for sure.

Phenomenal spot! First wines I've had from the Midwest area that I found to be highly drinkable. Love La Crescent and Cotes de Pepin(amongst others).
The details that went into the piazza were extensive. The tastings are a good time with healthy pours, and the food is great too...we had the cheese plate (highly recommend), 2 pizzas, a panini, and a salad over two separate visits. All tasty! Great spot, makes you feel like you're on a mini vacation!

Went here this afternoon with a friend for my birthday. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They really made my birthday special! Special thanks to Chef Cecconi and Kelly in the tasting room !
We did a wine tasting and there was not a single wine we did not like. They were excellent! We had the margherita pizza and garlic chicken pizza, followed by the chocolate cake and tiramisu for dessert. Soooo delicious!! I will definitely be going back and will bring more friends with me to experience this awesome place!

Spent about an hour as part of our stay in Lake Pepin at Villa Bellezza. Very easy access off hwy 35 with decent parking. Went for wine tasting and the staff was very nice and helpful. Sampled three wines and wound up buying four bottles. Wines are very good and have variety for everyone's tastes from dry to sweet. Toured the outside plaza where you could sit and have a glass of wine or just people watch. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 protocols, couldn't get access to inside of the main building and get a view from top of the tower. We instead walked some of the vineyard and saw their outdoor

You won't believe you aren't in Italy. Good wine, good food, beautiful buildings, even little details like all the signs written in Italian. We found this place by chance on a staycation to Red Wing, and were so pleasantly surprised.

It was December and cold during our visit but they are equipped with outdoor heaters and shearling hides to snuggle up in. (I think they are faux hides if you are worried about the animals) they are enforcing masks and distancing. You can still do a wine tasting or eat indoors. We tasted wine indoors, but were more comfortable eating outside.

I was surprised

Amazing place! Simply said! Very easy to work with and has scored many points with wedding hosting and event hosting. Wine tasting is a blast here, fun bartenders make this a great quick spot to drop in at. Their tower is sweet and you can see so much from there. I do hope the city of Pepin grows around it as a big hurdle is getting over the lack of guest rooms for weddings.

Had a delightful lunch here today! Our party had penne Bolognese, a panini with pesto, and a pizza paired with nice local wines. All entrees were fresh, flavorful and cooked to perfection. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant, tasting room and grounds are well done. Highly recommended as part of a day trip from the Twin Cities along the picturesque Mississippi.

After an afternoon at the adjacent wine tasting room, we had dinner at the restaurant and it was lovely. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. The meal started with some small freshly made breadsticks which was a nice treat while waiting for our main courses. We had one of the pizzas which was very tasty. The chicken piccata was a large portion and very flavorful. It was thick with capers, yummy. The seasonal vegetables were nicely done, plus the salad and side of bread made for a very satisfying meal. We thought the prices were good for what we got. A real gem!

We drove from Eau Claire, WI, on Sunday, March 25. The brunch was wonderful. First, the setting is beautiful, and the service is top notch. Everything served was made from scratch. A large number of breads were available. I had the sweet bread; my wife, the brioche. The egg dishes were very tasty. Both were excellent. One thing for families to consider is the availability of pizza, an option that is relevant for families with younger children or picky adolescents. To top things off, the pastries and sweets were phenomenal. I would be remiss if I were to fail to mention that the brunch

Fantastic Sunday brunch, 10-3! Only $17!!! And $3 mimosas with their wine. Great diversity in options, something for everyone. Egg bake, bacon, potatoes, sausage and peppers, pizza, lots of desserts- all homemade and incredibly delicious! The chef came around and met with each table, even brought over mini cream puffs.

We will definitely be back!

Seven of us had lunch here today and I can't wait to go back! My friend & I shared a Chicken Garlic Pizza, which was just the right amount for each of us, along with sharing a beet salad. Both were delicious. The pizza had a thin, crisp, just-right crust with a light garlic sauce, chicken, sweet peppers, and red onion on it. Two others in our group shared a Margherita Pizza and one had a Flatbread Pizza (pesto sauce, artichokes, and he add them add chicken) and all pronounced them delicious. One had the Spaghetti with (huge) meatballs and said it was also very good. The only negative was

We stopped at Villa Bellezza for some wine and saw that their new restaurant was open, il Forno.

We entered the restaurant and it was very warm and welcoming. We ordered a bottle of wine, the Demi Baguette and the Rustic Sausage pizza.

Loved the wine, but the pizza--oh the pizza!!. It was SO good! The crust was tasty and crip. The toppings were fabulous and it was brought to us piping hot! The baguette was okay but would have been better if it had been toasted better. The chutney was great and boyfriend liked the artichoke dip (I've never been a fan of artichoke dip).
