Amy is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has been working in the field of mental health for twenty years. She has been in private practice and on the public side of the mental health profession. Amy specializes in the areas of addiction, marriage and family, women's issues, depression, and anxiety.
For the most part, people seeking counseling are high-functioning adults who are looking for a little extra support and guidance. We will explore your concerns, where you are now, and where you want to be. Our approach is warm and empathetic, and together we look at areas in life that are not working for our client and find solutions that are effective.
If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. The woman working front desk is very rude. To the point that I asked her if she was irritated. She had a attitude with my daughter who called to schedule an appointment for herself. She’s only 17 years old and I’m trying to teach her responsibility. We had an issue at our last appointment where our prescription did not get filled till three weeks after her appointment. Leaving her with no medication for three weeks!! I had called numerous times to get this prescription in and even sent a email to the doctor. I don’t know what happened to this place at first it was fine, dr. was great. And

Making an appointment was quick and easy. I called and left a voicemail at 7am and at 10am the woman called and got me all setup. The appointment was on video and was quite unlike anything I have ever had. It sounded like the doctor was in an airport or some other public place (I could hear other conversations around him) and it was clear he did not have headphones so anything I said was free for the others surrounding him to hear (so definitely not confidential). After a few minutes of giving information that I had already sent, he asked if I thought I needed medication (for ADHD). My thought

I have had the absolute worst experience with this practice more so than I've ever had in my life. Of course getting an appointment in my initial consultation went well no problems there quick and to the point . Prescribe me a decent medication even called it into my pharmacy. Well when I went to go pick it up my insurance was not going to cover it and CVS wanted $1300.00 to fill it for me. Needless to say, I was not able to pick up that medication. Keep in mind this medication was hopefully going to save my life or at least make it decent to live everyday. But all because I couldn't afford it

Critical: Professionalism
At the start of the second video session, I was informed that the Dr. I was seeing would be leaving. I received a call several days later and was scheduled a new Dr. I was told that a link to the video session would be sent before my appointment. It never arrived. I will be seeking a different Dr.somewhere else.

My husband and I had called the office right away and several times there after spoke to someone and explained and the front office gave us a hard time about getting prescription changed for him would need to pay again for a vitutal** apt and these appointments were virtual on a laptop not face to face prior to covid-19

I tried to get my daughter an appointment with them. They called me and canceled her appointment because I didn’t give them my insurance number right away. The owner called me and she was very unprofessional about how to help my problem and they were making false claims and they messed up my appointment time.

The service that we recieve from Roots Wellness has been exceptional. We always get our notifications for the link on time and if meds are needed they are called in promptly. The Dr. doesn't rush through the sessions, he takes his time and is very thorough.
