JCFA's students created a mission statement in 2010 that expressed the foundation for our work: to provide students an alternative path to earning a high school diploma in a safe and nurturing environment. For students, faculty, and staff to be successful, a safe and nurturing environment must exist in our buildings, the local community, our nation, and throughout the world.

Services
JCFA Charter Schools provide a non-traditional pathway for Louisiana students to earn a high school diploma. JCFA's curriculum features a low 10:1 student-teacher ratio, and blends on-line academics with daily in-class instruction. JCFA students attend school year-round, but are required to be in class for only 3.5 hours/day.
JCFA is committed to providing a learning environment that allows our students to reach their potential. All students, especially at-risk students, are capable of excelling academically when given the support services they need to focus on their academic goals. The JCFA Board of Governance is responsible for ensuring that the academic program of JCFA is successful, that the school's program and operations are faithful to the terms of its charter, and that the organization is viable. Each member serves a three-year term, and is responsible for actively participating in the JCFA Board of Governance and the life of the school.
JCFA is a 9th through 12th grade Type 1 BESE Approved Charter School located in Harvey, Louisiana. JCFA, our original location, was founded in 2010 and is the first charter school in Jefferson Parish. JCFA's enrollment is open to all residents of Jefferson Parish. JCFA East is a 9th through 12th grade Type 2 BESE Approved Charter School located in Old Jefferson.
JCFA students learn in a blended learning environment. Graduates earn a Louisiana high school diploma on completion of our flexible, student-focused program. Classrooms feature online instruction delivered and supported by in-class teachers and tutors. JCFA puts great emphasis on providing a small student-to-faculty ratio in the classroom (10:1).
