After nearly 25 years running a roofing company with his brother Dan, Bill Keith left to start a new company, SunRise Solar Inc. to develop the SunRise Solar-Powered Attic Fan. As a roofer, he understood the importance of proper attic ventilation, and wanted to offer an alternative to traditional electric attic exhaust fans.

Bill Keith's success and determination has attracted national media coverage, and has drawn the attention of the White House. Bill Keith was invited twice by the White House to attend President Obama's meetings in Indiana, where he challenged the President to reach out to small businesses that are innovating renewable energy products.
Services
SunRise Solar Attic Fans have been functioning great on customers roofs for years and are continuing to save them money while the house stays cool! No one likes to open a box filled with parts and a blueprint that is nearly impossible to read. We send all of our fans fully assembled and ready for installation on your home or business.
The flat base solar attic fan is ideal for any normal shingled roof. Best location is on a south or west-facing roof slope. To figure out which flat base model is best for your home, reference the attic square footage recommendations above the fan pictures below. If you have questions, contact us and we will help you.
Our replacement motors are compatible with other solar attic fans. Rest assured you are receiving the highest quality attic fan replacement motor with your order. As long as the sun is out, this thermostat turns the fan on when the temperature is 80 degrees Fahrenheit and above. It will shut the fan off once the temperature reaches 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
SunRise Solar Attic Fans have a top and base made out of UV stabilized ABS plastic - the same material used on car bumpers, kayaks, motorcycle helmets, playground equipment and much more. It's completely noncorrosive, heat and flame resistant and can withstand environmental abuse that metals cannot.
Like traditional attic fans, solar attic fans remove hot, stagnant air from your attic which allows your air conditioner to more efficiently cool your house - cutting your energy costs up to 30% while extending the life of your HVAC. What makes solar attic fans even better is that they require no electricity.

I purchased the gable attic fan in 2010 and installed it in the peak of my living room wall (20 ft up). I live in Belize and it is HOT here. This fan is amazing. It blows all the hot air out allowing room allowing for the cooler air to come in. Because I'm in the tropics the sun is out from 6am to 6pm and this fan runs 12 hours a day, almost every day. Other than replacing the motor in 2017 it's all original parts, fan, solar panel. And in the tropics nothing lasts 11 years. But the Sunrise Solar Fan does. The only thing better than this fan is the customer service. I've sent emails and gotten

Thank you SunRise Solar! Our home this summer has been so hot and stuffy due to the warmer weather. Our A/C unit was running constantly and I had trouble sleeping because of the heat. We have 2 attics in our home and one is above our bedroom and the other is on the side of our bedroom. I contact Josh and he was able to see our house from Google Earth and he recommended that I purchased 2 solar units. I purchased them and they were out to our the next day. Bill installed them and what I really appreciate is they recommended we get the fans that tilt and are on the back side of the house and you

Sunrise Solar Attic Fans took care of the stuffy humid feeling upstairs on the second floor of our house. Even when it’s in the 90’s outside, the upstairs stays cool. Our air conditioner doesn’t have to work so hard to keep up. We love it!
