South River provides several different fitness programs for various levels of athletes. Whether you are returning from injury or preparing for the collegiate season, we have the program you need to achieve your goals. The moment you walk into the door there is a vibrant atmosphere conducive to healing and positivity. Everyone is working hard to get better either from their injury or improving their athletic movements or simply to lose weight. Your evaluation will be one on one to get to the root of the issue and bring you to a better state of well-being in treating the whole condition not just what hurts at that time.
There are many injuries that people have. This is by no means a comprehensive list but a short summary of the more common conditions people experience. Call to ask questions if we treat your particular injury, ache, or pain. Nothing is too simple or complex. Communication is conveyed to your doctor so they have a record of the appointments and treatment (if you so choose).
Intense training and study have led to special interests that deserve and require specific training in the orthopedic realm of pain and dysfunction. No, one of my favorite mentors taught me a saying "ALL PAIN, NO BRAIN" to offset the old school saying "No pain no gain." Physical therapy is to get you better, not feel worse.

Justin Dimitt is the best physical therapist I have ever worked with. I first went to Justin with some hip and back issues which we cleared up with some exercises. Later I had a very serious surgery on my foot and Justin helped me to regain strength and learn how to walk again. Every time I went he would have different exercises for me that always improved my condition. I am a runner and a cyclist, so having my mobility back, pain free is lifesaving for me. I've have worked in the fitness industry for over 30 years and have been to many professionals in physical fitness including massage therapists

My PT is Dustin, yes, a bit confusing, because the other PT is Justin.
Dustin is simply remarkable. I started with him right after a total knee replacement. His knowledge, perseverance, and compassion are allowing me to walk 2 miles again, as I did before the surgery. After 30 hours of PT with him, he created a plan for me, focusing on exercises to help me further heal my knee.
Dustin is never far away, even though I am not a patient anymore, he brings guidance during my training when I have difficulties.
I have to also compliment Jenny; she is always ready and willing to lend a hand. And always

5 years ago I had an injury to shoulder that is making it's presence known again. With severe pain and limited range of motion, needless to say I needed someone with the knowledge and experience to deal with me. Justin was there when I first had injury and is my therapist this go--both times he has shown the depth of his knowledge teaching me to slow up & be patient with the rehab process (as I am one to want results NOW which would do more harm than good). Definitely recommend him to anyone that is stubborn-- rehab isn't gonna be fun but he knows what's up.

As athlete and coach, I've worked with many Performance trainers and Physical Therapists over the years. South River's attention to detail and ability to customize the workout plan to the individual is superior to others centers like this that I've gone to in the past.
I also appreciate that the owner has deep knowledge of cutting edge performance training methods and injury prevention workouts.
