I'm so glad you are here! My name is Carol and I'm the award winning photographer behind Blessed Bee Photography, McHenry County's finest newborn and family portrait photographer. When I'm not working or behind a lens, you'll more than likely find me in my garden, on the back of a Harley Davidson or jetting off to some far off destination.
Choosing the right photographer is an important decision. Every moment matters and you can trust that I will work hard to capture each moment with a creative and fun touch, giving you images you will treasure for a lifetime. Your complete satisfaction is always my number one goal. Here's what just a few clients are saying.
This session can be held outdoors at a location of your choice (within 15 miles of my studio) or I have several favorite spots near my home. Arrangements can be made to travel farther but a travel fee may be charged in addition to your session fee. Each session usually lasts about an hour and can include up to 2 outfit changes.
I have precious few decent photos of my own daughters when they were teeny and curled. That newborn phase slips away so quickly and is often gone before you know it - over in a matter of days. My goal with newborns is to capture the tiny face of your newest family member in a way that it will never be again: brand new.

This was my first ever professional photoshoot and I usually do not enjoy taking pictures of myself. But Carol made us feel so comfortable that my husband and I both were happy to pose for some of the photos with our newborn.
Carol was so pleasant and welcoming I felt comfortable to feed my baby when ever he needed it. Her house and decorations are beautiful! She has tons of clothes and props to choose from but she helps you choose a great variety of props so I didn’t feel overwhelmed with having to make too many choices. It helps to have filled out her questioner on her website so she knows

Our newborn photo session with Carol was such a good experience. Loved her space and the props she chose for us. She is extremely talented and passionate about her work. She is also a baby whisperer!! As new parents, we learned techniques from her to get our little one to sleep. Our newborn photos turned out beautiful, and we will definitely be going back for her milestone photos!! I would recommend Blessed Bee Photography to anyone.

We recently had outdoor family portraits taken and we could not be happier with the entire experience! Carol made us feel so comfortable and was able to bring our normally shy daughter out of her shell to get some incredible pictures! The final pictures are absolutely gorgeous and were sent to us faster than we expected. The cost was very reasonable for the high quality. There are so many photographers to choose from in this area but are so thrilled that we chose Carol. We will be back!!!

Carol is such a talented photographer! This is our second newborn photo shoot with her and the photos have been absolutely breathtaking. She is patient and takes her time with every pose. We are a family of 5 and with a newborn and 2 boys ages 4 and 2 you never really know what to expect and I honestly didn’t have my hopes to high but she is truly the baby and toddler whisperer! She got great photos of everyone! I cried looking at the photos she took for us because they were more than I could have dreamed of.

Carol has taken pictures of our daughter twice now and both times I was truly amazed with how in the world she got so many wonderful shots despite my daughter not wanting to cooperate. No one would ever be able to tell!!!! She is so patient and just incredible to work with. Not to mention she has the cutest props and outfits. Every single picture is just breathtaking. You can tell she is really passionate about what she does. The best!!!

This was our first photo shoot with Carol and it will not be our last. We hired her to take first birthday milestone photos of my little girl along with a couple family shoots and one with big brother. My little girl was not being very cooperative (and neither was my 3 year old son). Carol was so patient with the both of them and managed to get the most adorable photos! I have been trying unsuccessfully to get a cute photo of the 2 of my kids together and Carol is the first photographer to make it happen. LOL. We are very pleased with the way our photos turned out. She has true artistic ability

I had such a great experience at my photo shoot with Carol!! She has a cute home studio with TONS of outfits, blankets and accessories! She worked really well with my baby and captured so many beautiful 1st photos of him. I cant wait to go back for a family photo session! I recommend her to anyone looking for infant pictures. You will love her and her work!!

We had such a good experience with Carol during our newborn photo shot. We took the photos as her in-Home studio and it was perfect. She was so patient with getting my newborn to sleep and getting him placed just right in various poses. She was also very patient and playful with our 18 month old as she got some beautiful sibling photos. Very friendly and professional with quick turnaround of edited photos. Can’t wait to do another photo session with Carol!

Carol did an amazing job for my liittle girls 1 year pictures! We went to a beautiful outdoor location, that she had searched out, that had the set up for the type of pictures I was looking to get. Then back to her studio where she had balloons to match my daughters birthday outfit. I loved that she planned ahead, and was well prepared for our session. She had lots of ideas but was very receptive to mine as well. The editing was great and finished product was beautiful! I will be using Blessed Bee Photography again!

We had a family shoot done and also a newborn shoot. Carol was very professional and patient. Between repositions for our newborn she took charge and made the experience wonderful! Our family shoot was outdoors and even though our toddler was under the weather she made sure he was comfortable and the pictures were amazing. I am beyond satisfied with our experience and would recommend her to anyone!
