Family member was stuck out of state and tried to cash a check. They said it would take a WEEK to cash. As much as I hate to say it, as someone who believes in credit unions, this bank is the WORST.

I've been a member for over 15 years. I will be going elsewhere. Firstly they seemingly have no loyalty to longtime members, phone wait times are very long, loan officers seem cold and uncaring, check depositing issues online, and they are dishonest with fees.
I was proud to have ACU be my first checking account. Now, I will be happy to have lived and learned. Moreover, they were taking money out of my account monthly for a "lifestyle" checking account without asking my permission. Which is illegal, last I checked! They have a different checking option which is what I signed up for years ago.

Lady was rude to me. I am mentally disabled, and I don't look like everyone else. I'll be honest, I look "weird" by Alabama standardsI felt they were rude when asking if I could open an account. But those of us who deviate from the norm should not be discriminated against.

I had just called to make a late payment on my truck, called the collections department to make the payment. I was never on hold, a lovely woman named Crystal answered the call. Very nice very easy to talk to, processed my payment, and wished me a happy birthday. Great customer service

I call all the time and push the buttons according to the vm message I get but the call ends up in a dialogue loop. No matter what buttons I push, their vm just repeats itself over and over and over again.

The new branch on Skyland Blvd Tuscaloosa, AL is the worst ever. They expect you to give identification, sign the slip when making a DEPOSIT. Then I miswrote the number on the Deposit slip but had it correct on back of check and the teller could not find my account. Worst Ever!!! Indian hills and University branch are great

Extremely disappointed in ACU. I've been a member there for many years. Recently I transferred some money into my checking account only to learn that my checking account had been closed without my knowledge or consent. To top it off, they did accept my transfer into my "closed" account. If my account can receive transfers, then it's not exactly closed now is it? You would think a closed account would not be able to send or receive money but that's not the case over at ACU! Very very disappointed. Y'all email and text me over every little thing except apparently when your close my account. Shaking

When I first started banking with ACU I could call my local branch and speak with someone in minutes and now it takes an hour or more to get someone on the phone. Seriously considering moving my funds.

I've banked here since it was Tuscaloosa Credit Union - ever since they became Alabama Credit Union, it has become impossible to get anyone on the phone. I am really looking forward to closing my account here.

I called to ask why my car loan had been recently paid in full and the AL Credit Union proceeded with deducting another car payment. Turns out the insurance company dragged their feet in sending the car payoff check. Emily helped me get the amount credited back to my account after I provided a statement from State Farm verifying the payment amount and mailing of the check.
Thanks to Emily for all of her research and assistance. She was very nice, polite, and professional. Oh, and don't let me forget Brittany in the loan department. Very nice and helpful!
