The Rooks family has been a part of the Godley community for over 15 years, with nineteen of their twenty children having attended Godley schools. They moved to Godley in 2004 and began doing therapeutic foster care, recognizing the lack of placement families for older teens and sibling groups. In 14 years of fostering, the Rooks family has adopted 18 children of the over 80 they fostered.

I love when I get to this place and stop in. The owner and staff are considerate and kind. All the things I've ordered have been delicious...espresso, coffee, every sweet item. I feel the care they put into what they are making.

Such a cute little shop! I absolutely adore it! Recently moved here and it is definitely my to go place. And to anyone who complains about the prices… it’s a small business!! It’s supposed to be more expensive! It’s not a chain!! Keep up the good work!

First time at this quaint little coffee shop. The baked goods were outstanding. Customer service from the owner and her daughter was excellent. They made you feel like you were welcome amongst friends. Even brought out a complimentary warm chocolate chip cookie. I would highly recommend this hidden gem. It is worth the drive

$9.45 for a large mocha with an extra shot of espresso. Oh my God! Starbucks doesn’t even charge that! This woman is insane and I sure you will never see a penny of my money ever again for any reason!

Three stars because the coffee is pretty good, but do yourself a favor and skip literally any of the boba. The "unflavored" boba(which is supposed to be black because it's tapioca pearls), look and taste like fruit snacks??? The "milk tea" tastes like watered down coffee creamer. Nothing about the boba tea is boba or tea, so I'd pass on it.

My family is new to the area and we had a rushed morning and had no time to cook or pick u before our work at home shifts start. I ordered Godley Grind through the Uber eats app. I expected it to be good from what I've heard, but I was pleasantly surprised because it was amazing. My croissant sandwich tasted like it was home cooked, like real food! Many breakfast sandwiches out there have that microwave/fake taste to them, but not this one. I will Definitely will eat there again. Everyone in my home was happy with their pastries and drinks too! Love this place!!

LOVE, LOVE their cakes, cookies and sandwiches! The offer gluten-free cookies too. Not bad coffee either. Go in and check out all the many gift ideas or drive through if you are in a hurry. My Mom loves their omelets-- it's enough for 2 meals. Thank you Godley Grind for bringing a small town some classy desserts.

I love their pastries (all made in-house), and fresh coffees and specialty teas. I do coffee with coconut milk (not always easy to find). Drive thru is a bonus! Staff is super friendly. Free wifi

The family story that started the business is heart warming and they give back to the community.

This place and the owner are amazing! The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. The coffee was great and the pastries were soo yummy we took several home. The story of this place is so heartwarming. There is a place in heaven for the owner and her family. Thank you for creating such a place. I wish you much success this coming year. We will be back for the coffee and pastries for sure and hope to join in on a few activities as well!!

We have tried this place 3 times. First time, iced latte wasn't that great. Seemed flavorless and very heavy on the milk & not enough espresso. They were new so we cut them slack. Second time, the espresso machine was broke so I had cold brew coffee, and it wasn't very good either. My kids ordered hot chocolate. Not one of the kids liked it, and we returned it and were offered a can of soda instead. They said it tasted like applesauce. I sampled it too, and it was gross. I have ordered a lunch combo soup & sandwich and I did think that was good. It's a super cute

The shop itself is super cute and the staff are friendly. The food and cookies look really good. The Chai tea was not good. It tasted like lavender and coffee which is 100% opposite of chai tea. The pig in the blankets were cold and tasteless. I also witnessed a woman lick her finger while she was handling a tray of food.
