What a beautiful historic hotel! We loved being there. We had dinner on the patio, and the food was really good. The coffee and scones in the morning alone were worth staying there for! What a delicious treat. Broken Bow is a wonderful little town, so many historic buildings on the National Register. Such friendly helpful people we encountered.

I will never stay anywhere else now that I’ve stayed here once. The architecture, design, ambiance and unique decor mixed with modern conveniences make for a Class-A stay. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The icing on the cake was a drink in the Winslow Bar. The low-key, intimate atmosphere with amazing drinks was the perfect way to end our evening. If you visit Cedar Falls and skip this place, you’re missing out.

We have stayed at this hotel a couple times over the past 6 years; it is always a great experience. The hotel is rich in history, at a great location for checking out other local spots on main street, and it is always very clean. The new management has an incredible focus on customer service and the experience at the hotel, which makes the stay even better.

This is a very nice historic, boutique hotel with phenomenal service. We made an unplanned detour to Cedar Falls on our way back to Illinois and are very happy we did. The location is great being right downtown next to a number of restaurants and shops. The room was very comfortable, and the staff was so helpful and friendly. This is a family run business and you definitely that family-level of service here. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Cedar Falls area or anyone just looking for a nice little spot to get away for a few days.

Beautiful old hotel. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. They went over the top for our group to make sure we had everything needed for our event there. The rooms are large and beautifully appointed. Most of the furniture are beatiful old antiques that add a lot of charm. Our rooms for the group on the third floor had wonderful Jacuzzi tubs. So pleased with the stay, can't wait to come back!

I have lived in Cedar Falls all my life, and stayed here on my wedding night. This hotel is hands-down the BEST hotel to stay at. You will get an experience you cannot get at any chain hotel. The Blackhawk Hotel is an amazing historic hotel located right downtown Cedar Falls. Getting in our room was easy. We had a smooth check-in and check-out process. Our room had amazing details such as heart of flower petals and a hand written note from the manager congratulating us. We recommend everybody we know coming to CF to stay at the Blackhawk Hotel. It’s a place you can never forget.
