Great Bend merchant, J. Lester Cox, opened a furniture store and funeral parlor in downtown Great Bend in 1899. He started his business, Great Bend Furniture Company, on the northwest corner of the intersection of Main Street and Broadway Avenue. He later moved his business to the 1400 block of Main Street.

The following is a list of choices which represent the cost of our services. They may or may not include the casket or container required for visitation or viewing, burial, entombment or cremation.

Our charge for this service includes transfer of remains to funeral home, embalming, dressing, cosmetics, casketing, basic services of funeral director and staff, use of facilities and staff for viewing, funeral ceremony at our chapel or other facility followed by the committal service, video tribute and automotive equipment.It does not include the casket, outer burial container, additional transportation, or cash advance items.
