I've been doing business with Lightning Auctions for years. Decades really. I've always been treated fairly both as a buyer and a seller, and the staff is always nice. Sometimes super busy, but always nice. I think it's important to remember that every auction needs a good cross section of items, and sometimes not all of my items go in the same weekend. Then we have Covid and they were shut down just like everyone else creating a backlog and the need for appointments. They only have so much space, and if you've been down there you know that they are full all the time. I know

So far excellent service, had problem on my end.. Visa gift cards work well.. Net spend took a lot of time getting their card to work. Never did!! I had to purchase another gift card to finish transaction. Tryi to set a Visa for each suction. Thanks for the help!!

Great people to deal with. I will say that the people there are willing to go above and beyond. Due to my own fault I did not know that they are not open to the public on Thursday since they they are preparing for the next auction. I called and talked to Victoria and she was able to allow me to pick up the item I had won the week before. They helped load up my tractor piece. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who would like to deal with an amazing staff.

This place has gone to hell. not getting paid for items sold, missing consignments, employee helping herself. nothing done about. still there. make hector the boss of it. kyle is out of hand with with his mouth. tells people he is buying the business. loloololol. dark skin women in back should go big time.

This is one of the BEST auction companies I have ever dealt with. I met the owner, he is kind and polite. The items I have purchased from here over the last month have been in excellent shape! They are awesome!!

We have bought and solid many items over the past three years and we're happy with LightningAuctions however about 2 months ago I called them to sell some items. They told me that they were not accepting items until September. I had my wife call with some very cool
Items and they said that they could accept them that week. Very disappointed with them. I put them on Facebook Market Place and have made almost $2,000 with out their 15%. I am so happy they told us no. I will continue to use Facebook.

Kyle is writing all answers for the owner. to bad he is bipolar. they are shilling bids. hector should be boss. consigners are leaving. they sell lots of fakes. if you challenge them, they throw you out. items go missing, one employee was caught stealing, nothing was done. greg please take over again. it used to be fun, no longer

Had a circumstance that was my fault and the manger Kyle from lightning auctions called and took care of the problem that I had. Not many companies and business put the consumer before them and the almighty dollar. I am truly amazed at how they handled this. I wish more people and companies had these kind of morals. Great business and would highly recommend them.

Treated horribly this morning by staff there! Went to side door to pick up purchase from over weekend. While there asked employee about a ring that I placed in auction 30 days ago. My question was about reserve. The site showed ring sold for 1950$, reserve was for 2500$. I thought maybe the house was going absorb sellers fees, of about 500$. In return they could make the buyers fees. That was my only question really. A couple minutes later the rudest person I've ever came out with my 1ct diamond in a ziplock. I was shocked and confused as I thought it had sold. He tried to hand it to me

This is my long over due Thank You to Lightning Auctions. In 2018 my father passed away. His household included all the usual things, but also a lot of equipment for hunting and fishing. He collected many antique items and had many taxidermy trophies. Without Lightning Auctions I don't know what we would have done with all of it. It would have taken years to sell that many pieces. The whole team is doing a great job considering circumstances. They have to work twice as hard because Covid restrictions. I buy and sell (mostly sell), and feel they are doing a great job. Keep up the good work!

I buy a lot from various auction houses around the country, which means I have a lot of items shipped to me. Lightning Auctions did not play around and packaged my item better than any other auction house I have dealt with. They also allowed me to save my items from multiple auctions to save on shipping. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have purchased from lightning auction a few times. The process is always seamless and everyone is friendly and helpful. I bought a very heavy item and the very strong young man with the braid put the item in my truck and advised me on how to get it out. Thank you.

Awful car buying experience. they, (Kyle) I don't know who he is, is very rude and unprofessional. He does not respect customers, uses profanity in front of customers and his employees. Descriptions and Pictures posted on line are deceiving and do not tell or show the damaged parts, but according to Kyle, you bid on it and you own it. Never again I do business with them.

Won 2 items last weekend, the staff was very friendly, the items were as described & as pictured. We even took our piece of jewelry we had won to the jewelers to be looked at & resized, the jeweler we worked with had very good things to say about this company as well. Looking forward to finding some more fun things through this company!!

We were the winning bidder on this vehicle and were excited about it. We called to schedule pickup, ordered tires and wheels (as the 22" are not our style) and then were called and told " the owner picked up his vehicle" . Turns out the owner didn't like the price he sold it for and backed out, after the fact. Well I mounted new tires, on new wheels, and can't return them, so what about that? Why am I obligated to buy, but a no-reserve, online auction seller can renege on the sale? I even offered to pay more and negotiate with the seller, pay his "reserve" of $1700. but still not a response.

I used to absolutely love Lightning Auctions! Been buying things from them for 10 plus years!! But they hired a new employee that works up front, darker skin tone, uses very rude gestures. I'm not sure of her name but she is EXTREMELY rude. She hung up on me 3 times. I had to keep calling back just to ask how I pick up my Auctions due to the COVID 19 regulations. She doesn't let you finish your sentences. She just hangs up. She is very rude. Makes you feel stupid and ignorant like we should know each businesses protocol in a time like this. Second time purchasing things that are not as described. I will not be returning as this place is really low-end, and no one seems to care about customer service.

If you're looking for a lackadaisical, mediocre, low-end company to represent the sale of your items... this is your kind of place. If not... I would strongly suggest you move on to find one that actually cares about how they represent themselves, as well as sellers and buyers. Between the buyer's and seller's premiums... they charge almost a 50% commission!

I can't say enough good things about the people at lightning auctions. We have purchased everything from jewelry to cars, furniture, toys, equipment and more from them.

We recently had an incident where a ring we purchased went in for an appraisal and it turned out some of the stones weren't legitimate. Lightning Auctions had us simply bring down the paperwork stating such and gave us a prompt refund.

We super appreciate the fact that they are honest about their sales and on the off chance something doesn't line up they're on top of making it right!

I'd read the reviews and was a bit skeptical both of the auction house and the reviews. I decided to find out for myself and I'm glad I did. Everyone I've dealt with here is cordial, knowledgeable and interested in my business. I've asked for and gotten advice that's helped me decide what to bring to Lightening and what not to. This is important because there is a no sell fee which is actually higher than the value of some of the items I was thinking about bringing.

Wow, I never thought to look here for reviews before bidding. We won a used car and the transaction could not have gone any smoother. The app works great, the details about the buyers premium, sales tax and paperwork fees were clearly described before we placed a bid. Staff was friendly and efficient when we picked up the car. So now we have another teenage daughter on the road!! Fair warning :-)

Rude staff. They sold a fur coat held together with hot glue... when I showed them the young man was non caring and rude. A few months later they sent me an invoice for earrings two days after the auction ended. I called offering to pay... but explained I had left town for work for three weeks. If it had been marked “won” or invoiced me as normal the next day - I could have picked up on time. The person said pick up by Wednesday- period they can’t store things.
Then when I tried to let the owner know he was absolutely rude and showed anger with my “complaining”.

Agree with most of the comments here. This place is shady AF and the people are extremely rude. Lady called me to let me know I won a gun. I asked how long I had to pick it up. She immediately put another man on the phone who immediately yelled "what's your problem, I'm going to charge your card and you can come pick the item up". Before I could get a word in, the guy hung up on me. However, the terms of sale clearly state that the sellers premium is determined based on cash or credit sale and they didn't give me an option, they just charged my card for the 15%

I love vintage items for my home and lightning Auctions often has a great assortment of treasures. They are very nice, efficient and seem to genuinely enjoy what they do. We have purchased from other auctions but lightning auctions has been the best. The app is also a great feature and makes bidding easier. We are very pleased with all of our purchases.

This auction house in Sparks has new stuff almost every week, sometimes they do cars. The process is really easy, just register and you're all set. You get to stop by on Friday and look, touch and feel all of the items to make sure it is what it is. Then the online auction runs through the weekend, usually ending starting at 5pm Sunday with another lot closing every 10 seconds. The eclectic selection is off the charts. You never know what you will find. It's all just a matter of who else is interested in the same weird crap you have your eye on. Of course they have a lot of regular things
