Dr. Gayoso was born in Gainesville, Florida and he completed his undergraduate education at Duke University and the University of Florida. His medical degree was completed at the University of Miami, Miami, Florida and his surgical training was completed at the Medical University of South Carolina, both in general surgery and plastic surgery.
Since 2005, Dr. Gayoso has been Chief of Plastic Surgery at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg and was Chief of Plastic Surgery at St. Anthony's Hospital from 2004 thru 2018. He is a member of The Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons and is a past president of the Tampa Bay Society of Plastic Surgeons.

We are proud to announce that Dr. Frank Beninger joined Gayoso Plastic Surgery in January. Board certified in plastic surgery and fellowship trained at the esteemed Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York City, Dr. Beninger brings his unique talent and expertise to our office and the Tampa Bay Area.
Gina Gathings-Giancola became an aesthetician at the age of 19, and was quickly recognized for her deft talent in tradition aesthetician services. From traditional makeup to facials, she learned the trade quickly, and was perfectly positioned to change with the profession as new kinds of anti-aging technologies (such as combined microdermabrasion/peels and laser treatments) began to change the standard of care in beauty treatments.
Jessica McCarry, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant from the Tampa Bay area. She completed a plastic surgery rotation with our office while in PA school and joined the Gayoso Plastic Surgery team right after graduation. Jessica has focused her career solely on aesthetic medicine. She spent the fist two years assisting Dr. Gayoso in surgery while quickly building her non-surgical practice.

No other decision will have as great an impact on your quality of results and overall experience as your choice of surgeon. My first time having any surgery done to my face. Very nervous going in. All the nurses were kind,...totally professional, explained everything that would happen and the pre-op appointments were perfect. Surgery went flawlessly, no pain or discomfort. Next day after bandages were taken off, I looked pretty darn good. I was shocked on how well the procedure went. Within 2 weeks I was out and about, on stage with only a slight swelling.....Dr. Beninger was the best,..a real pro at what he does. I would highly recommend him to everyone. As an entertainer, I couldn't be more pleased...thank you...

I’ve been to Gayoso Plastic Surgery twice this past year to get dermal fillers. Both times the staff were friendly and the office was beautiful and clean. Jessica did both my lip and under eye fillers and she is professional, kind and so talented! I’ve been happy enough with my experiences thus far that I’ve even scheduled a cool sculpting session in a few weeks :)

I have had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Gayoso and his entire office. He was my third consultation for a breast lift/augmentation for my tuberous/constricted breasts. After spending just a short time with Dr. Gayoso, I knew that I wanted to move forward with him as my surgeon. He immediately made me feel at ease, which is pretty big because this whole process isn’t the most comfortable one for someone like me! I just recently flew down from Ky to have some more elective surgery done by Dr. Gayoso because after my first surgery with him I would never go to anyone else.
My first surgery was a full tummy tuck back in March of 2020. After 4 deliveries many years ago and recently losing 40 lbs. the loose skin was so noticeable and made me feel so insecure about my self that I made the decision to have a tummy tuck. Thank heavens I chose Dr. Gayoso because I was thrilled!! I looked better than I ever dreamed I could.
After that I decided I wanted to have my thighs and arms lifted due to excess loose skin
