Summerlin Functional Medicine is committed to providing both Functional Medicine (FM) and Regenerative Orthopedics (RO) to as many patients as possible at an affordable price. That said- our real mission is to help our patients address their health issues by seeking out the root causes of illness while treating them with respect, empathy, and love.
These times are set according to standards for insurance billing. This allows our patients with PPO coverage to submit their receipts (SuperBills) to their insurance company for reimbursement. DrB enjoys talking and teaching patients about their FM problems and findings- but it just gets to be too much.
If you have Medicare Part B what you will be required to pay depends on any supplemental insurance plans. If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan you will be required to pay for services at the usual Medicare rate on the day of service while we see what your plan will pay for. Generally Advantage Plans pay similar to Medicare- but one can not be certain in advance.
Dr John Bowman ("DrB") is a Mayo Clinic trained orthopedic surgeon with 28 years of surgical experience and over 15 years of regenerative orthopedic experience. DrB learned early in his career that many patients referred to orthopedic surgeons have nothing orthopedically wrong- just because your back is hurting and something shows up on an MRI does not mean that what you see on that MRI is the cause of the pain.

My health has changed so much for the better in the 5 months since I've been seeing Dr. Bowman! After 3 years of "mystery" symptoms, many trips to the emergency room and numerous doctors who didn't really listen & just treated symptoms, I now feel HEARD and CARED FOR. I've been seeing Dr. Bowman since around August of 2019. After having a condition for over 20 years, he's the first doctor that accurately diagnosed me and is now successfully treating me. He's patient, thoughtful, thorough and he genuinely cares about helping people get well. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Also, Sydney, who works at the front desk is not only professional and great at her job, but is simply one of the nicest people on the planet. She goes above and beyond!

Dr. Bowman is a most incredible Doctor with an extreme amount of Orthopedic surgery experience at Mayo Clinic. He has knowledge in anti-aging, and hair issues. He uses PRP in the Orthopedic area. He fully understands rebuilding with autogenous cells.
Detoxification, Chelation, IV C and other therapies are all available and become simple and understandable in his care.

Dr Bowman is an amazing LLMD and Functional Dr. he’s always there when I need questions answered. He does the right tests and helped me identify what was wrong with me where all other drs failed. He’s so good I still see him virtually since we moved to Los Angeles. He’s your man, he’ll figure it out. Save your money and go straight here.

Dr. Bowman is an old school expert in multiple specialties which is why he is so good with mystery diseases, such as chronic Lyme. He goes beyond treating symptoms and looks for the root cause. He has good bedside manners, a nice office, a nice staff, and he is really smart. For me I appreciate his expertise in Lyme, orthopedics, and the fact that he uses both alternative and mainstream strategies for better outcomes. I'm a tough case and he has been able to help me a lot, way more than the average doc.

I am so grateful to have found Dr. Bowman on my journey towards wellness. After being misdiagnosed for over 38 years, Dr. Bowman named 4 possible causes for my ailments during my first office visit (prior to any lab work) and I had all 4 of the conditions he mentioned (verified by labs).

Dr. Bowman and his staff are deeply knowledgeable, caring and thorough providers who go beyond simply treating symptoms.
