Welcome to Glacial Lakes Dental of Willmar, the family and restorative dental practice of Dr. John Iverson. At Glacial Lakes Dental our patients are our priority. We strive to provide the highest quality dental services in a relaxed, comfortable setting. We are here to take care of your dental needs whether it is routine care to achieve and maintain a healthy smile or more complex restorative dental services.
Services
It is 2am and you are still staring at the wall clock. Unable to sleep, you wonder when will the person next to you stop snoring. Doctors say some techniques could help moderate snorers to sleep and let others take a cozy nap. While your loud snores could disturb your bed partner and also result in sleep apnea, a condition when you stop breathing while asleep.
A healthy smile does not always mean a bright, white smile. If your smile has become dull or stained we offer Professional Supreme, Kor Deep Whitening or Crest WhiteStrips. We have chosen these whitening systems because we have seen less sensitivity by our patients with excellent results. Our in office whitening will have your teeth visibly whiter in one office visit.
We enjoy working with our young patients and understand that they have different needs when visiting the dentist. We try not to push children so they end up fearful of the dentist's office. We want their visit to be as fun and comfortable as possible, and for them to build life-long relationships with the dentist's office.
Periodontal (gum) disease is very common, and the most frequent cause of tooth loss in adults. It is also preventable, and easily treated and reversed when caught early. Recent studies have shown an association between gum disease and increased risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke, and diabetes. The leading cause of gum disease is the build-up of plaque on your teeth.
If you clench or grind your teeth (commonly referred as bruxism) we can fabricate a custom mouth guard to protect your teeth. As you clench or grind you are putting extreme pressure on your teeth, which can cause cracks or breaks in teeth or restorations, or worn down teeth. The custom guard corrects your bite and protects your teeth from possible damage.

Most of the staff was nice but the quote they had given me was highway robbery, and the dentist was incompetent to perform a simple extraction. He wanted me to see a oral surgeon which would have cost even more. I was able to get in at my original dentistry "Family Dentistry of Granite Falls" where she easily pulled my broken off tooth for less than half the cost and it took less than five minutes to do. So, Glacial Dentistry is a rip off of cost and professionalism in my eyes!

I have been very happy with my experiences at Glacial Lakes Dental! Everyone is so kind, and they are very gentle while working with you. They let you know what they are doing, and teach you things along the way. My appointments have always been on time, and have never run over. I would recommend Dr. Iverson & his staff any day!

My husband and I really enjoy the friendly staff at Glacial Lakes Dental, formerly known as Nelson & Medin.
John Iverson worked with Steve Medin before Steve retired then John bought the business. We have been going to this dental clinic for many years and highly recommend them.. We especially like Tami one of their hygienist, she shows interest in us as person's and not just as patients
John does not do any unnecessary work and stands behind his work. They have state of the art equipment.
Give them a try.
