Ken is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist who has been in practice since 1994. He has been a featured speaker at the SF Whole Life Expo, Jewish Community Center, and has led workshops at The Learning Annex and The Mindful Body in San Francisco. Ken is currently certified (#CHT 894-441) as a Clinical Hypnotherapist by the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners (ACHE) and is an approved ACHE Hypnotherapy Instructor.

It is not sleep, but a natural, normal, and relaxed state of focused attention. Simply put, hypnosis is an amplifying and focusing technique employed with either interactive guided imagery or as applied meditation toward a specific goal while in various levels of a trance state. Hypnosis was approved by the Council of Mental Health of the American Medical Association in September of 1958 as a safe practice with no harmful side effects.
Services
With the help of hypnosis you can successfully become a non-smoker, focus on eating right, start exercising again, improving your overall health, begin managing your blood sugar like every other non-smoker does, and thus actually end up releasing weight as many of my clients do! You already know intellectually how to reduce your weight, right?
Myth #1 - I will gain weight. Actually, many people who have used hypnosis to become non-smokers reduce their weight, because they are focused on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, instead of feeling deprived of smoking! In my experience, the people afraid of gaining weight are those who gain the weight.
Generally speaking, you are sabotaged by lack of motivation, unhealthy lifestyle habits, and an ongoing poor relationship with food. Somehow the message hasn't gotten through to the subconscious part of your mind, and your old habits override your best intentions.

The bottom line is: to be successful at sustaining and managing your weight, at some point you'll need to re-train the subconscious part of your mind so your habits and lifestyle work for you, not against you. You'll also need a better relationship with food, and you'll need some form of motivation to stay on track.
PLEASE NOTE: Remember that pain is your body's signal that something is seriously wrong, becoming overused, or out of balance. If you are experiencing swelling, redness and heat on a painful area, GO TO YOUR DOCTOR FIRST! You may have an infection or blood clot that needs immediate attention. Do not under any circumstances discontinue a prescribed medication without first telling your doctor and reducing the medication dosage methodically.
Hypnotherapists have been refining relaxation techniques for many, many years. It is an obvious choice for anyone who has never really learned how to relax or has forgotten what deep relaxation feels like. And the deeper you learn to relax, the better you feel, the more your health will improve! WARNING - Stress is highly addictive!
