With decades of combined experience, the key team members at Techniquip are dedicated to designing and manufacturing products that are not only highly functional but on the cutting edge of technology and design. Technology has long intrigued David whose father and peers developed some of the most commonly used technology while at Stanford and its spin-off SRI International.
Visits to SRI during childhood provided a peek into what would become the computer mouse, the graphical user interface, robotics, and many other such wonders. Upon graduating from the University of California Berkeley David went to work at United Air Lines where the miracle of flight was on display each and every day.

TechniQuip is committed to being a leading manufacturer of optical technology to increase the productivity of people working in manufacturing, quality control, and product development environments. For over 25 years we have been producing lighting solutions for microscopy, medical diagnosis, medical research, quality assurance, semiconductor manufacture and even the movie industry.
Ring lighting is the most common form of lighting for microscopy. Microscopes objectives and lenses are, for the majority of applications, cylindrical and accordingly one of the most effective lighting schemes is to generate an annular light source, more commonly known as ring lighting. TechniQuip offers a wide range of Ring Light options each tailored to meet a specific lighting objective.
They are the predominant lighting method in use today by microscopists since they are low cost, energy efficient, long lasting, and simple and safe to use. Advances in LED technology means some of the models can generate an impressive 100 lumens or more for each watt of energy consumed - a value that can easily exceed fiber optic systems by a factor of 50 or more!
