Services
During that work experience, Dr. Gupta saw that the children and adults needed more services than an individual provider could provide. He realized that a strong, reliable, trusted team was needed to develop a comprehensive treatment plan for patients with mental illness as well as those with substance abuse problems.
Headed by Dr. Krishan Gupta, the team of experienced professionals at The Ridgewood Clinics provides confidential, comprehensive evaluations and treatment to individuals suffering from emotional, physical or mental illnesses on a outpatient basis. Provide counseling to individuals, families and groups in a private, small clinic setting.
Ridgewood Clinics offers a personalized treatment approach tailored to our patient's individual needs with the goal of attaining maximum personal growth and functioning. Evaluating and monitoring a patient's mental/emotional state is performed by a psychiatric physician during the initial visit and continued throughout treatment at Ridgewood Clinics.
The difference is clear. When you see a psychiatrist, like Krishan Gupta, M.D. at The Ridgewood Clinics, you're benefitting from both the clinical expertise of a medical doctor, as well as the unique perspective and insight of a psychotherapist. You're seeing an expert able to view physical and mental illness in an integrated way by taking into consideration the related aspects of body and mind.
At Ridgewood Clinics, our entire staff is dedicated to the overall mission of helping facilitate mental wellness. This focus is not limited to our Ridgewood Clinics patients; we seek to be a first-step resource to the general public as well through educational outreach.

I start going to this clinic early this year, and I'm glad I decided to. They immediately were available to talk to me about evaluation, how I could complete paperwork, and next steps for any type of care they recommended. They handled business quickly and professionally! I was nervous to talk to Dr. Gupta at first, but after my first visit, I was definitely at ease. They were also really good about following up and quick responses via Telehealth visits and phone calls. They are currently my go to and I haven't wanted to look anywhere else. I've had really positive and consistent results as a result

My children and I were there for an appointment close to closing time. Now mind you this is in the winter when this happens. I don't drive at night so I had my husband drop up off. Well he lost track of time and was running late. It was past 5 and the office manager (who is also the doctor's wife) told me and my children one who is special needs that we needed to wait outside for our ride as they were going to close up and go home. Now it is February and it darks at 5. We are outside and this building has no outside lights. So there we are standing outside in the middle of winter with

This overview of Dr Gupta would not be complete without adding our story.
Terrible service from Dr and Mrs Gupta. The nurses are quite nice but Dr and Mrs Gupta just do not want to be there. Waiting room times are horrendous, and when you are finally called to your room, wait time can be just as horrible. "Are you anxious?" He asked after letting us wait over 2.5 hrs. He also gives great solutions to your problems such as drinking more water for a medicine that insanely dries your mouth. After he switched to phone consultations because of covid, we literally spend less than 2 minutes talking to

Rude office staff. Always running late. They never seem to know how to bill anyone. They are always asking people what their deductibles are or how much their copays are. I get asked every time I come so at some point you would think they would not that information in the file. Then the woman over billing in the front office pulls a number out of her butt that she decides you should pay for the visit. Told me I should just pay that amount and they would refund me if I overpaid... definitely do not recommend.

Absolutely terrible. I wouldn't even give them 1 star if it were possible. I should have known not to go back from my first visit. I was there for 3 hours. Dr. Gupta AND Mrs. Gupta are probably the rudest people I have every personally experienced in the medical field. They overcharged me for a visit because the insurance was taking too long to pay (not my problem) They had my name spelled incorrectly, and I had to figure that out for her! And then, when it was cleared up, Mrs. Gupta would not apply a credit to my visit from overpaying the last time when I shouldn't have in the first place. I was

This place is SKETCHY!! As I waited in the waiting room, I overheard MANY patients ask the front desk girl why they were overcharged or sent multiple bills for the same service and not given credit for their payment.
Then I go to check out and get told that my visit was $280 after LITERALLY only seeing the doctor for MAYBE 30 seconds! He said he was doing testing on me, which only involved smeared paperwork that was barely legible. This is only to get told that I have to make an appt to come back to speak with the doctor about my paperwork....and PAY AGAIN! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??
Never again

I was referred from by my family doctor and from the time I called to set up appointments to seeing the doctor the experience was great. Ashley went over my insurance with me on the phone when setting the appointment up and explained to me how I would be billed and what to expect and offered to set me up with a therapist as well. I was looking for a therapist and would have never known to ask because I thought the psychologist would have to refer me. This has been such an easy process and I’m thankful I made the call.

I don't know, why people keep saying such bad things about this place because I have yet to experience one. Mr. Gupta doesn't treat me like another paycheck or object, he treats me as a human being; respectful, honest and caring. Of all of my issues, he truly does care about them and how they affect my wellbeing. I couldn't ask for a better psychiatrist. When I was going out of my mind and having a very difficult time, he made time to see me and set up arrangements for me.

You walk into an over crowded waiting room with wall to wall chairs. No exaggeration *every* single time I have been there a patient has been upset that they have been overcharged or some insurance and financial issue, so hearing how fellow patients are being over charged, while sitting in a waiting room right on top of one another makes for a gross feeling right from the start. It’s definitely not something that inspires confidence in someone dealing with any kind of mental health issue. In the back where you actually see the Doctor, the walls are paper thin. I have heard ENTIRE conversations

They overschedule patients, while I was while I was waiting the schedules about 8 people on the same day and time. This shows as I have experienced they just walk in the room pad in hand and write a new script. I even expressed my concerns about wanting off my medication that you can't get off of without being prescribed lower doses. Dr. Gupta didn't listen that I didn't think the medication wasn't helping. he just said it's working for now give it more time. I'd been on it for months, i think I know my own body. So I weaned myself off and don't plan on coming back. I also needed a form filled

I've never experienced a medical facility so crooked in my life. They wanted to charge me $30 per page to fill out my paperwork that my company pays 100%. Ms. Gupta has no respect for the patients. She talks loud telling all your business and other patients in waiting area can hear your balance and they never say good morning or good afternoon. SHE IS SO RUDE. Someone needs to explain to them that patients are how you make a living and we WILL go elsewhere. Ms Tyler is Wonderful and I wish she would go elsewhere. The only reason they received 1 star because that is the lowest offered

Dr. Patel is a compassionate, thorough, and dedicated psychiatrist. He is, by a wide margin, the only positive aspect of this entire enterprise. I've been seeing him at this clinic once monthly since April 2015. In September he and I discussed a more aggressive course of treatment that required a controlled substance. From then on he has been required to hand write a prescription each month. If it weren't for this restriction, I would request a year's worth of refills before I went through the monthly agony that is this clinic.
