The building is located on a farm established by the Duncan family as Duncan's Dairies. The farm supplied Springfield and the surrounding areas with fresh milk and other dairy products. Duncan opens The Ice Cream & Dairy Products store in this year, where all milk products sold come direct from Duncan's own plant and are delivered fresh from the dairy.

I've eaten from here a few times over the years. Staying in the area and decided to order from here for dinner via Yelp and Grub Hub. Online ordering was easy.
They have an extensive menu. We ordered a cheese steak, chicken parm sandwich, cheese steak egg rolls, and a chocolate milkshake.
All the food was great. I split a cheese steak with my 2 year old grand daughter. She said her cheese steak was really good. After she ate her half, she finished mine. That kid loves to eat. Lol
The large chocolate milkshake was really big and super chocolatey. Really good.

If you had asked me yesterday or any day in the last three decades, I would have given this place 5 stars. But, today I had one of the most horrible service experiences of my life. When we arrived, we were asked "dine in or take out?" and when I said "dine in" we were told to pick any table that had menus on it. We did, and took the booth on the far left, just past a Christmas tree that was set up for the holidays. In the 60's & 70's Walt's in Clifton was the best place to get a great Cheese Steak. Those days are gone, with the multiple change of hands. Dairy Cottage has stepped up to the changing times, and I would have to say without a doubt, they serve the Best Cheese Steak in Delaware County! Go see and taste for yourself!

We went there today. Everyone is very friendly. My husband and I try to find great places that have great bacon cheeseburger and cheese steaks. So, we ordered 24 inch cheese steak with extra cheese, the cheese steak is great, not the best, but for Delco, it is great! Bacon cheeseburger, great, for Delco, it is great! Chicken fingers at first tasted good, but have an after taste. Not so sure what it is, but I don't want to know! Fries...mostly everyone said they are good, nope just basic fries. It was excellent we went there on a whim. We drive past the Dairy cottage every day on the way home from work and we were looking for something different that had cheesesteaks well we found what we were looking for. Next time though we will split the cheesesteaks the small is huge I could only eat half. I wasn't crazy about their French fries but I ate them. Drinks are just as big as the drinks at coco's pizza next time I will have to try the milk shake although I think someone ordered one and it looked small so we will see

It was my first time there but certainly not the last. My aunt recommended it. It is affordable, the food is amazing, and the staff is kind, courteous and attentive. I can't wait to go back. The portions are awesome. I love their chocolate milkshakes, their crab fries, their burgers, cheese fries, paninis, and everything! I definitely recommend this place and can't wait to return for more!

I had surgery at a nearby hospital. During the time we were at the hotel, we ordered food from the Dairy Cottage twice and went there for a sit-down meal once. The place is incredible! The food is simple and is exactly what you want. What you see on the page is what you get. It's really good for anybody with an eating disorder that regulates what you can or can't consume in terms of flavors or textures. Their milkshakes are just amazing. The food is hot and delicious, and the servers didn't rush us to decide what we wanted when we were there. For our pickup order, it was ready a full 15 minutes

Usually I don't like bacon, I don't eat any type of bread and french fries but dammmm it was delicious!
I ate the cheese steak and it was perfect. The bread (Baget) was soft and fresh, the bacon was crispy with good flavour and the service was great!
We also were amazed with the price - pretty cheap.
A Must visit place - I will definitely come back to get some more!

My wife and I had not been there in years and were nearby so we went here for lunch. It was around 2pm so the lunch crowd was gone. There was trash and food all over the floor. Did they ever hear of a broom or better yet a sweeper. The tables were dirty and they clean them with two swipes and were lazy. Our burgers were not good and they came with tiny bags of chips. They charge extra for everything like lettuce, tomato and even onions and pickles. Employees just standing around. If you have time to lean you have time to clean.

I like almost everything about this place. The first thing that peaked my interest was of course several reviews on Yelp for places that had good cheesesteaks in Delaware County. Of course as usual the Yelpers were right. They do make a pretty good cheesesteak! So let's go over the entire experience. When you walk in you'll find a diner style restaurant with historical pictures but updated(ish) decor. I like all of that. It's a large open concept so you can see directly into the kitchen from the farthest side of the room where it boasts a beautiful fireplace. There are ample seats

We were on our way to see the new iteration of Halloween today, and had left early enough to have breakfast somewhere before the show. Then we happened to pass the Dairy Cottage. After a bit of deliberation and a quick check online, we realized we could sit down there for breakfast and turned the car around and drove back. This is a nice little place with a very homey atmosphere, but did not live up to our expectations as a replacement for our favorite local diner. We are always on the lookout for new breakfast spots so we were very excited, but what we got was just middle-of-the-road.
