Because atopic dermatitis can be long lasting, it is important to learn how to take care of the skin. Treatment and good skin care can alleviate much of the discomfort. Atopic dermatitis (AD) looks different in infants, children, and adults. The following gives you the signs (what you see) and symptoms (what you feel) for each age group.
Wear sunscreen every daysince the sun's rays can accelerate signs of aging. Use a sunscreen or facial moisturizer that offers broad-spectrum protection and has an SPF of at least 30. Be sure to apply sunscreen to all skin that is not covered by clothing. Do not tan. Getting a tan from the sun or a tanning bed exposes you to harmful UV rays that can accelerate aging, causing wrinkles, age spots, a blotchy complexion and even skin cancer.

Dr. Griffith and personnel were knowledgeable and professional. I had a couple of lesions that a previous dermatologist basically told me I had to live with. Dr. Griffith removed the lesions during my appointment. The areas healed up well and now I no longer have them. I would definitely recommend this practice.

I called the office as a new patient, and told them I had two superficial lesions that I wanted removed. Called on Friday, I was seen on the following Tuesday, so awesome right off the bat there! I go to the office, waited only about 5-10 minutes, and after a brief talk with the nurse, Dr. Griffith (Sr./Dr. Bob) came in, and took care of me. This guy performed minor surgery on me in two places in about 15 minutes! We had a nice conversation though the initial numbing part of it (only slight discomfort), and before I knew it, I was done. He answered all my questions, and I left the office spending

Medical malpractice experienced here, had a small cyst taken off of my head and they did it in the wrong spot (where there wasn’t even a cyst), I didn’t realize it was in the wrong spot until I got home and the numbing wore off. I had to go back (to have the cyst actually taken off) and they still charged me and my insurance (for both visits). They expected me to be able to decipher where the operation was being performed after my head was numb. Bad business in my opinion.

With all the sincerity I can muster, I really cannot sing their praises loud enough. More than just polite, more than caring, more than just another Doctor. Astute, studious, and more than willing to go the extra mile to help you get back to healthy. The doctor-patient relationship they offer is phenomenal and all but extinct in all other directions you look in this world nowadays. And not one moment of it comes across insincere or pandering. It’s easy to see that Dr. Griffith genuinely cares about you, and really enjoys what he does. Best Physician I think I’ve ever seen. Lucky to have him

Saw Dr. Robert Griffith, Jr. and he is Incredibly knowledgeable and caring. He’s a master if his craft. Friendly staff—Wendy is thoughtful and caring. He gave me options on how to treat my condition. He spent >25 minutes with me and thoroughly explained the risks and benefits of all of my treatment options. He then told me how he would treat his family members. He is looking out for his patients’ best interest. He needs to give a course to other physicians on bedside manner because he is superb. Bottom line, I highly recommend this doctor!
