A to Z Rentals was born in 1966 under the management of Carl Linkous Sr. During that time, the store was known for selling and renting tools and equipment to local contractors and homeowners. In 1973 Carl Sr. hired on his son, Carl Linkous Jr. and together they bought their first tent in 1984. In 1990, after 24 years of renting heavy machinery, Carl Sr. passed the torch to Carl Linkous Jr., the store's current owner.
Carl Jr., seeing a need in his community, began expanding the store's tent inventory. By 2008, during the economy's second-worst financial crisis, the store had completely removed tools and equipment from their list of inventories and completed the transition to special event and party rentals - A to Z Rentals Special Events was born!

Services
Our prices are quoted per event; long-term rentals are charged accordingly. If you need the items for a longer time period, please call our office for long term rates. Our charges are for the time out, whether used or not! We require 50% of the balance to reserve the items; the other 50% is due before the items leave the store.

My husband and I were very happy with the over-the-phone staff (who helped us plan for what we needed), the delivery staff (who delivered, set up, and tore down all rentals in a timely manner), the items we rented, and the overall experience we had with A To Z Rentals.
For some context, we rented a century mate tent, a vinyl dance floor (we had 100 guests), string lights, bistro high top tables, and high top table linen for our September 2018 wedding at J.Q. Dickinson Salt-Works in Charleston, WV from A To Z Rentals Special Events.
Price was great. If we ever needed to, we would rent from here

(Huntington, WV location) This company is HORRIBLE. I cannot stress it enough to any bride/wedding planner/event planner: DO NOT USE THEM. They provided the tent for my wedding this June and it was a horrifying experience. Not only were they a day late setting it up, they left the tent COVERED from top to bottom in mud. There were holes covering the ceiling. The linen tablecloths were COVERED in mud. The dance floor, covered in mud and scratches. The center pole covers, covered in mud. I just wish I could upload the pictures of the disaster that they left for us and actually expected us to use

Worst experience ever. We rented chairs from the for our wedding. They were an hour late, the chairs had to be set up the day of the wedding. They were fully aware of the arrangement. Not only that, their employees were worthless. They did not bring a dolly/ handtruck to lift 3 300 pound stacks of chairs. Me and my groomsmen had to lift the stacks of chairs ourselves. Totally and completely dissatisfied. It's unfortunate they are one of the few businesses in the state that do this type of work. No competition breeds complacency and poor customer service. Would not recommended this company.
