We provide FREE clothing to children, women and men in need who are referred to us through any human service organization, school or church. We believe clothing can open the door to a better future by providing the confidence needed to ace a job interview, project a healthy self- image in a social situation or stay safe from inclement weather.
Services
The Community Clothes Closet, located in Menasha, Wisconsin, is a grassroots non-profit organization that provides new and gently used casual and career clothing to children, women and men in need. The Community Clothes Closet started in 1980 when a small church group provided a single pair of shoes to a homeless man in need.
The Community Clothes Closet achieves its mission with the help of a small, dedicated team of employees who manage the daily operations, outreach and programming of our organization. Our team would be happy to answer any questions you have about our operations, to arrange a tour, or discuss opportunities to support the CCC.
We are excited to announce our switch to renewable energy coming this fall! After months of analysis, planning and fundraising, CCC will install a state-of-the-art solar panel power system. The system will produce more than 30,000 kilowatt hours and prevent 23 tons of greenhouse gases from entering our atmosphere each year.
We serve the working poor, elderly, victims of abuse, children living in poverty, students, homeless, veterans, and those with emergency clothing needs. Clients are referred by a host of human service organizations such as St. Joseph's Food Program, LEAVEN, Riverview Gardens, Harbor House, Pillars, and Workforce Development.
A referral may be submitted to us from any human services organization. Although our services are not restricted by location - if you can get to us, you can shop with us - your referral must come from a Wisconsin-based organization. These human services groups range from food pantries and financial-assistance institutions to homeless shelters, medical clinics, school districts and county health departments.

The hours on the website should be changed if they are not open til 8 pm. I came as early as i could due to work and childcare i set up to come and was turned away after driving 35 mins, and now i have to drive 35 mins back. I set aside the little gas i had to come once this month and was turned away. When i expected i had 30 mins to look around, which was plenty of time for me. And the person was rude and unwelcoming on top of it.
Normally I love it here, but this really rubbed me the wrong way and tarnish my feelings.

Changed my rating to 4 starts because I came when they were still open, tried to get in doors but they were locked. The man seen me standing outside the doors and did nothing. I also tried calling multiple times to ask if I could be let in and it goes to voicemail. Sucks because I came from Oshkosh and now I can’t shop

I actually utilized their food pantry. The volunteers are so kind and caring. They always have so much to give. Each week they even give a bag that is a complete meal to make with cooking instructions. Always good and ready to do same day. As of now, they have an abundance of fresh produce as well. Registration is quick and easy. Drive up/thru service windows. Wonderful place for those of us in need.
