Our buses follow regular daily routes with scheduled stops or you can meet us anywhere along the route, wave your hand, and we'll pick you up. Buckwheat Express provides three types of scheduled ride transportation services.
Medical, Nutrition, and Shopping Transportation is available for eligible individuals throughout Preston County. Scheduled non-emergency Medical Transportation and Medical Escort services are available for those with hearing, vision, mobility, and functional deficits. These programs provide transportation to and from doctor visits, dental appointments, therapy, and other medical visits.

Buckwheat Express is a public transportation provider offering regularly scheduled route services, as well as a variety of reserved-ride services, in Preston County and surrounding areas in West Virginia. The service is operated by Preston County Senior Citizens, Inc. in Kingwood, WV. All community members are welcome to use our services and those age 60 and older ride free.
Buckwheat Express buses travel three regularly scheduled routes throughout Preston County, WV. Our drivers can pick you up or drop you off anywhere along our regular travel routes (even if the location is not listed on the schedule). For pick-up, simply flag the driver down by waving your arm. Route Deviation Service allows you to be picked up/dropped off at any location within mile of any regular route.
