Charlie Brown is a child nurturing center that cares for children from birth to 12 years old in age-appropriate environments. A play-based curriculum is used for the three and four-year old preschool programs. All centers are represented by a Board of Directors comprised of professional people from the community and parents whose children attend the centers.

A quality program for infants is a warm, nurturing, interesting, reliable, and stimulating environment, while at the same time providing secure and dependable setting and routines. Our goal is to support the growing autonomy and increasing skills and competencies of infants as they develop. A quality program for preschoolers should provide a safe, healthy, stimulating environment which fosters the child's development as a human being.
Quality infant and toddler care can set the stage for learning. Charlie Brown Preschool & Child Care Centers focuses on these areas when caring infants and toddlers. Research shows that significant brain development occurs from birth to 3 years old. Charlie Brown provides age appropriate environments that promotes physical, cognitive and emotional development while having their personal needs met by our caring providers.
Charlie Brown's Preschool Curriculum is a nationally recognized curriculum called "Creative Curriculum." This not only focuses on academic readiness but also social and emotional readiness. We believe that play is a child's work. Creative Curriculum focuses on setting up the environment with appropriate toys and activities for children to interact with others and learn through play.
A quality program for school-age children should be comfortable, relaxed, and provide experiences to complement each child's home and school life. It is our primary goal to provide a warm and caring environment for the children, with a variety of educational and recreational opportunities.
Communication between home and center is an important factor in developing a quality program and should coordinate home, school, and center routines as it develops a close relationship between center staff, children, and families.A daily schedule is established so that children and parents know what to expect from the program.

Your child will receive individualized care in a comfortable, cozy space. Quiet, age appropriate activities are available if their condition allows; such as games and movies. The child must meet the guidelines of the Child's Health Guidelines and the Health Policy. It is recommended that the child be seen by their physician to get a release for them to receive care in the Get Well Center.

My child has been attending Charlie Brown Daycare centers since he was 4. He is now in second grade. He loved attending preschool at Charlie Brown. He learned a lot and it helped him feel prepared for school. He actually enjoys being at daycare and he is excited to go. The staff are friendly and helpful. They make him feel safe and comfortable. Being a Mom of 4 children I have had my share of “dealing” with daycares, from in home to “commercial” and nothing compares to Charlie Brown. The staff truly care about your children, going from the main director to everyone in between. They care about the children as individuals and as a group, making sure that every activity is age appropriate and that every child can participate. All of the Charlie Browns are clean, age appropriate, well maintained and updated when needed.

Our daughter started attending Washington Charlie Brown in July 2018 and we’ve have been so impressed with the staff! You can tell they really care about the kids and are always willing to answer any questions and/or address any concerns. I feel very fortunate that when she spends time there, I know she is well taken care of and participating in age-appropriate learning activities. In addition, we love that they serve dinner at 5p so we can have more quality family time once we pick her up.

The best child care center in the area. Lots of things to do for the kids including field trips and learning activities. Nutritious food and caring staff. My child had been attending Charlie Brown for 4 consecutive years until it was time to start regular school. Nothing but positive experience with the center. Highly recommend to other families looking for the daycare.

Our experience at Charlie Brown has been wonderful! My daughters have a good relationship with numerous staff members. The new center offers more rooms and space for each age range. There is a good variety of meals that are nutritious. The only drawback I've come across is the outdated billing system. We would love to be able to pay at the computer when signing our children in or out, online or auto pay direct from our bank account. Overall, we are glad we chose Charlie Brown almost 2 years ago, and often recommend it to families in the area.

I would say they do a fantastic job. My son has been through the 4 yr. old preschool and my daughter is currently in the 3 yr old preschool. Both are great. They learn something new every day and really like their teachers and helpers. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for preschool to send their child to Charlie Brown.

I think West town Charlie Brown is a great daycare! My kids (ages 2 and 7) are treated very well! The regular day staff and the boss are great. I have always been able to come to them whenever I ever have any positive or negative complaints. And If they are negative they always seem to get handled as soon as possible! The only thing I would prefer is to have more of an mature night and weekend staff. My oldest has some special needs and they have taken care of him and made sure no one picks on him! They both feel like it is a second home and really love the teachers they have. :)
