Interior designer and architect Sara Waijman is in perpetual pursuit the balance and simplicity that follows strong minimalist design. Her aesthetic combines natural light and open space with thoughtfully constructed forms and design details. A South Florida resident since the mid-1980s, Sara's original passion for design and planning gradually expanded to include custom-built furniture and architectural finishes.
Prior to founding SW Designs with Sandra Wodner in 2006, Sara led the Custom Design department for an interior design firm in South Florida, and since 1990, has run her own interior design firm, Sara Waijman Designs. Sara studied architecture at the University of Belgrano in her native Argentina, where she received her Masters in Architecture in 1984.

Services
For a company with a well-established traditional image, mixing classic elements with contemporary design includes the past, without getting stuck in it. Classic columns are combined with leather-inspired wallpaper and modern ceramic tile. All-white chandeliers and teardrop lights become design focal points.
A recurrent client call us to help them in a new project. This new home was a modern architectural building with a beautiful backyard facing one of Florida canals. The neutral canvas allow us to create a very calm and warm environment for them. We use neutral colors with the inclusion of a vivid orange accent in different items throughout the whole house.
Last year our company started working in a new challenge, design the interiors for a 120' transatlantic boat. The experience has been rewarding in a complete different type of work that required to acquire knowledge about the issues that concerns the maritime design. Materials, weight, size, durability, lock systems are all part of this learning experience that our firm enjoyed working and still continues.
