Happy Nails

I was able to call and get an appointment the same day which was nice but the nail technician was too inviting. She did recommend this color over another one I wanted and I'm happy she did. First time coming here will probably be back.

This experience was most definitely not relaxing, it was quite painful and the nail tech was very rough and mildly argumentative when I attempted to ask him to please fix it. Polish was slopped on. The acrylic was very thick on some nails and very thin on others. I wasn't able to pick the shape I wanted. I truly hope someone who owns the business reviews this and kindly speaks with this tech who had on a blue short sleeve shirt on Thursday the 29th of July for a 4:30 appointment. I don't mean to bash this man at all, but it was honestly a very bad experience that was painful and left

I am not one to take time out of my life to leave reviews like this but I feel like people should be aware of where they are spending their money. I have been going here to get my gel pedicures for the past two years now. My first couple of visits were what kept me coming back, but once I started coming here consistently I started to notice a pattern. They were always extremely busy and seemed to be over-booked, a lot of the nail techs always seemed to be either unhappy, stressed, or confused, and one female in particular seened to have an attitude problem and was known for getting nasty with customers

I scheduled an appointment for just a pedi and later wanted a manicure so my nails could match and they fit me right in after. The woman who did my nails payed extra attention to my matte affect and added an extra coat so they would be perfect. Getting my feet done is so relaxing with the VIP area, they even let my fiancé sit next to me through the whole process. Highly recommended and I will be doing all of my nail business with them for now on.

Won't go back. My first time and last. Got there at 1:45 for a 2:00 appointment. Was finally taken at 2:30. While I was waiting a client commented to me "they're always running late". My biggest complaint is that one of the women getting a pedicure was on her phone for a good 30 minutes! The five women (and myself) sitting near her were all irritated. So when I went to the counter to pay I mentioned it. The woman taking my money could have cared less. Done....

Went to happy nails and they did a fabulous job on my deluxe pedicure! I was pleasantly surprised how long they massage you for. Cost me about $57 for this and it was worth it. Everythings clean and comfortable. I will be back! And they did such a cute job on my flowers!

Horrible acrylics and had to wait even with an appointment. I'd been going to Happy Nails off and on for a while for pedicures and manicures. Went ahead and for acrylics as my daughters has been getting them there for some time and they looked great. I got a rude woman who used a roll of filthy paper towels as a cushion for my arms as my nail tech. She huffed and pulled on my hands and arms. She also made a face at the state of my cuticles. On top of that, the acrylic is thick and uneven and puddled up against my cuticles. She didn't hardly do any shaping including near my cuticles

Went to Happy nails for a manicure, pedicure, and wax by appointment . $110 later I swear I will never return. The pedicure was rushed and did not bother to buffer my skin. Pedicure nail polish looked decent. For $40 I guess I expected more than 0 soak time, a minimal and disappointing message, and immediately being told to get up without my toes drying. They constantly tried to upsell me on everything, rushing me from wax to pedicure to manicure without listening to me. I asked for black and red nails and got red and silver. The wax is amazing. Came into shop and felt very rushed around and they were not friendly. Told me to go pick out gel color on long table, what long table? Well, it was in another part of salon. Once I got color picked out I was told to sit in the chair and start soaking feet. It took like 10 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge me. By the time they got to me, I took my feet out of the water and said , I will not be getting my pedicure. They didn't even offer a towel to dry feet, walked across their floor with wet feet to get my shoes on.

Service was bad, would not recommend this place to anyone.

I am visiting Fairbanks for a month. I went to Happy Nails 2 weeks ago for a pedi / mani and had a bad experience. I had an appointment but still had to wait for more than 30 minutes. Then I was told they were short handed and they could not do the services I requested. Normal pedicure only ( I wanted the spa pedi) and rushed manicure if I still wanted it. Got the services they were mediocre at the very best.

I decided to give another chance, and guess what. Same experience. I had an appointment, I still had to wait for more than 30 minute while they took other people in front of me

Incredibly upset with my experience at Happy Nails. Often times I call ahead of time (a week) to schedule an appointment with Tran. She's great at what she does, however - isn't the whole point of scheduling an appointment is so you don't have to wait? It took about 45 minutes for her to actually start my pedicure, and throughout she seemed very rushed. She got up 10 times throughout my pedicure. Hard to really relax when that's going on. It took me 2 hours to get only a manicure and pedicure! $90 for slow service, and mediocre nails. Very disappointed. I will not be returning

I will start by saying this was my 2nd place nail shop to go to in town. I always hit allure up first due to location and overall preference but happy nails was always 2nd choice if allure was closed for any extended period as they often due for New Years or holiday or even a nail emergency on a Tuesday during their reg closed days. I have also recommended happy nails to people, never again. Yesterday 2/13/19 I went in for a fill on a fresh full set I had placed two weeks ago. I had the full set don't at happy nails and was happy with my services as usual. I wanted a fill and fresh paint for

I asked for matte, after being told that they can do both matte and the design in the picture, they ended up not doing it. The lady who did my nails filed down my natural nail, and they were already thinned out and damaged. I went in with my natural, naked nails. she took 2 and a half hours. she drowned my whole fingertips in he purple liquid they use for acrylics while she was doing my nails. i don't think that the liquid is even supposed to touch your skin. she also made my finger bleed. what i expected vs what i got.

After my terrible experience at LA nails, I went here and it was much better. I finally got my shellac color!

The nail tech was super friendly and efficient, and they have over 900 colors to choose from. I didn't know this, but my manicure came with a hand massage and a hot towel wrap which was just what I needed after a long week.

I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Had an amazing experience! The manager is very accommodating and makes sure you leave happy. It isn't the place that ppl are unhappy with. It's the person you get that makes or breaks it and it's like that at every salon in town. If you didn't like it or had a bad experience I'm almost positive the bosses don't know so speak up and he'll make it right. I'd give them a 5 for being so thorough and helpful and nice :)

Last night I walked in for a fill in and gel polish. After waiting for a few minutes (nbd) a woman was brought from the back in an obviously bad mood. The entire process was rushed, the woman who did my nails was very rude and rough, she would throw my hands back at me after she was finished with each step and said all of 5 words to me the entire time. My cuticles were cut on 7/10 of my nails, very deep and she continued to do my nails while my fingers were still actively bleeding. After cutting me, she scolded me and told me my skin was dry and that's why I was bleeding. I was still charged

I love this place a shellac pedicure is 45.00. The last place I went Allure nails shellac was a 50.00 add on !!!
Hate to share because it is already busy and hard to get in but they are the best in town and deserve a shout out

VERY friendly staff!! I came with my boyfriend- his first pedicure and we both had a really pleasant time. It's very clean and they were very accommodating when we had no appointment. There is a VIP room that is decked out from floor to ceiling, but we just opted for the "normal" experience and we were really happy with it! My feet have had a hard winter and they did not look down on me at all for their condition...instead "it's okay, we will take care of it for you!"

Everything you want in a nail salon- clean, friendly, affordable, and a job well done.

Came here before my daughter got married. I live out of town.
Services were fine. A few details could have been better. It's not soothing to soak your hands in freezing cold water. The gentleman who did my nails got the water before even wrapping my nails do by the time it was used it was very cold. My daughter said her water was so hot she felt her hands were burning.
Only other thing to note is maybe an upgrade to the inside style of the salon.
Otherwise a fair place.

I tried happy nails for the first time this weekend and unfortunately will not be returning, I went for a pedi / mani because I have heard rants and raves. The pedi was very mediocre for the price , and the gentlemen who did my mani ended up cutting a huge gash out of my finger :( it's still healing up and because of this I will not be returning. I base a lot of where I go off reviews and although I dislike leaving negative ones I thought it would be best . In hopes it may help someone make a decision right for them.
