When you add gentle-touch massage to the care you provide for your patient, you change their life, as well as your own. The path for touch looks different for all of us. Some of us are comfortable providing this basic need to those who are ill, some of us need more direction, more information, more facts.

Some of us feel led to provide gentle-touch massage, but an unsupportive person or inner critic tells us differently. Progressive Massage Therapy was created and is led by Susan Gee. Opening in 2008, PMT offers on-line courses, local one-on-one massage services and support for anyone wanting to provide gentle-touch massage modalities for others.

I believe in the amazing benefits of massage - especially for those hurting physically and emotionally due to illness and/or treatment to illness. I believe EVERYONE who wants to receive massage CAN when appropriate adjustments are made. I believe my role as a massage therapist is to provide comfort and rest to those who are hurting - emotionally and/or physically due to illness, recent surgery or the stresses of everyday life.
Susan is a transplant from Dallas to Hot Springs Village. She loves her work and truly considers it her ministry. It's extremely rewarding to see with your eyes and feel with your hands, someone rest and relax who was physically hurting when they walked in your office. Cancer and other chronic illness can wear you down physically and emotionally.
I see clients in Bryant one day per week for those who want to travel and receive massage in a studio setting with regular massage table, etc. For those not able to travel, I will come to you - whether in home, care facility or hospital. I no longer travel with a massage table because I have perfected the method of providing massage wherever the patient is - hospital bed, recliner, wheelchair, etc.
With the support of palliative care and hospice, a growing number of people are choosing the kind of experiences they want wjem facing a life-limiting illness. Massage can offer moments of comfort, well-being and beauty at a challenging time for patients and their families. Quality of life is the goal.
Oncology Massage has reached the forefront of integrative treatment options and is widely available in the world's leading cancer hospitals. Specially trained oncology massage therapists can provide safe, effective massage for any patient at any stage of the cancer journey.

These gentle sessions, which focus on nourishing the body, rest and relaxation, can help you cope as you deal with the side effects of cancer treatment, like stress, fatigue, insomnia, muscle aches, nausea, peripheral neuropathy, poor body image and more.I sincerely love the work that I do. It's very rewarding to provide a therapeutic intervention that clients look forward to and one that makes such a big impact on their well-being.
