Services
At the Clinic we practice Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It has evolved over 5,000 years. Chinese Medicine consists of acupuncture, nutrition, Chinese medicinal herbs, moxabustion, tui na (Chinese massage), tui na cupping, gua sha, and more. The Chinese practice of medicine is geared toward bringing the human body into harmony based on the forces of nature.
Cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This can relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It can also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue. People use cupping to complement their care for a host of ailments and conditions.
Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs used together are very effective in treating various diseases. The herbs recommended are based on the patient's tongue and pulse as well as other displayed symptoms. Chinese Herbs are grouped into specific categories according to their properties and tastes. For example, they can be warming or cooling and taste bitter or sweet in nature.
Nutrition Response Testing is a non-invasive system that analyzes the body in order to determine the root causes of ill health. It uses muscle strength testing to communicate with the body's own innate intelligence to evaluate the body's response to a broad variety of substances that may be affecting health and function.
The Heart Sound Recorder is a computer-based low risk general wellness monitor which uses the principles of auscultation to observe heart sounds. The heart's reaction to certain stressors, i.e. Your nervous system controls the RATE at which your heart beats. One side of your nervous system (sympathetic) manages your "fight" or "flight" response and can accelerate your heart rate.
