Applying for a mortgage can seem like a daunting and scary process. To help, we've created a checklist of things for you to compile, complete and acknowledge before applying. Credit history is a recorded file of past and current credit that is utilized to compile a credit score. A closing cost is a payment required to finalize a home loan and is separate from a down-payment.
The most common type of loan option, the traditional fixed-rate mortgage includes monthly principal and interest payments which never change during the loan's lifetime. Adjustable-rate mortgages include interest payments which shift during the loan's term, depending on current market conditions. Typically, these loans carry a fixed-interest rate for a set period of time before adjusting.

I work at a law office where I have many dealings with lenders, brokers, realtors, buyers and sellers. Information from each party is needed to make a smooth transaction. Everyone at Atlantic must have their phones attached to their hip as I get a response immediately whether it be a request or a question - no matter what time it is or day of the week. I have never dealt with such incompetence in my 11 years of real estate. I would never use this company and specifically John Del Greco. He killed our deal. He lied. Told us all that needed to be done was for our Clear to Close to be acknowledged, a week and a half past scheduled closing date, only for me to find out that the lender who was out of state, didn't even know we were out of contract. Told us they were too buried with business to get us cleared to close while my Sellers were living out of boxes and the Buyer is now homeless living with relatives. All the while, telling me he understood
