Times were tough and equipment wasn't easy to come by so grandfather improvised and made a lot of his own machinery. Hard work paid off and after a while he was established as the best in his field. As years went by grandfather realized that his suppliers where partly responsible for his quality. Seeing that some did not meet his standards he started milling his own wood flooring and manufacturing his own seals, finishes, waxes and cleaners.

Dad took the business over in 1949 and made it the largest wood floor company west of the Mississippi River.

I am not sure what sure what caused a poor experience for some of the previous reviewers. I worked with the owner and two separate teams. All were fine to work with. The price was fair, the job was on time and when I felt there was a issue they addressed it. We had natural hickory floors and we stained them a nice warm dark brown. The color was exactly what my wife and I wanted. I will be using them again in the future if the need arises.

I trusted the review and ask him to do the flooring job in my house. I thought he is the one whose doing the job but he sent 2 of his crappy workers and did very poor job. Promised in 2 weeks but took 4 weeks and still job was awefully done. Do not pay untill he finish the right job if you really want to ask him to do your house. I wanted to keep going till he fixs the problem but going through all the dust and paint smell was just too much for my family. I will give you some tips if you want to ask him or his employee to do flooring on your house.
