Gibson Animal Clinic is a primarily small animal veterinary clinic that first opened its doors in 1982 and is proud to serve Waycross, GA and surrounding areas. The staff at Gibson Animal Clinic is dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service to local pet owners at an affordable price.
Growing up, Dr. Gibson owned a wide variety of animals, but after working several summers in a vet clinic, he quickly realized that he wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Dr. Gibson attended the University of Georgia and obtained a BSA in Animal Science. He quickly found his way into the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with a doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1982.
Gibson Animal Clinic is proud to serve Ware and surrounding counties in Southeast Georgia. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. At Gibson Animal Clinic, we believe in nurturing the human-animal bond and creating a harmonious relationship between people and animals.
Too often I diagnose very nice dogs with heartworms and unfortunately some are not likely to fare well. This also happens to be one of the most heartbreaking situations I have to deal with as a veterinarian. Did you know that heartworms can be entirely prevented through the use of heartworm preventive medications?

We’ve been bringing our dog here for years, with normally great service & pricing! But lately the professionalism has declined & they constantly change the prices! I was quoted one price but once the service was completed I received a HIGHER price!! The heavyset female has a horrible attitude & I refuse to take my dog there while she’s employed there.

We had to take our Dog Casey to the vet on 9/17/2021our local vet couldn't see her that day and referred us to Gibson vet clinic in Waycross ga. Unfortunately the trip ended on a sad note for us, we had to make the difficult decision to have our baby girl put down. Dr Gibson was so patient and understanding with us and explained what was going on so we could make the best decisions for Casey. The Compassion Dr Gibson and his staff gave us is indescribable. We will definitely be bringing our other pets there in the future.
