Services
The financial plan is the foundation of our relationship for our clients. It is the "glidepath" we design to help them achieve their hopes and dreams. We use the planning software from Right Capital as a basis for our information organization and analysis with in depth testing and analysis used to substantiate our recommendations.
John founded Main Effort Financial as an independent financial advisory firm in 2001. Now, a Registered Investment Advisory Firm, Main Effort serves over 200 families and businesses around the world with over $50M in assets. John is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and prior to starting his firm he served as an Infantry officer both active duty and as part of the Massachusetts Army National Guard.

We currently serve over 200 households providing comprehensive financial planning to taking them "where they want to go." This group usually has parents with children who at some point will most likely go to college. The income ranges from $75,000 to $450,000 per year with 10 or more years until retirement.
The answer to this question drives our decision making in the construction of our portfolios. Every decision we make with regards to the portfolio must be based upon the specific purpose of the investment and what it is designed to achieve. Diversity: Each portfolio is carefully constructed to maintain a solid diverse representation of the portions of the market we are trying to capture.
