Serv-U Locksmiths can provide you with all your auto lock needs. We can duplicate keys, originate keys, rekey auto locks and rebuild ignition switches. We can provide you with duplicate keys, remotes or fobs for your vehicle or even make you a key when all of your keys are lost! It is important for businesses to undertake measures to prevent break-ins.
Most cars today are equipped with a remote to lock and unlock the doors and trunk. Some remotes are part of the key (remote-key combo) and others are separate from the key. Serv-U Locksmiths can provide either type of remote for most vehicles. Once a remote is purchased it needs to be programmed to your car.
One of the best options to make a key for a vehicle when all the keys are lost is to use the VIN number. The VIN number provides us the information we need to create the key(s) that came with the vehicle when it was first manufactured. There are times however, when the VIN number cannot be used such as if the vehicle is too old or if the locks have been replaced.
Serv-U Locksmiths can provide keys for most makes of motorcycles and scooters. If you have no key for your bike, we can make a key from the ignition lock. The least expensive route is to remove the ignition lock from the bike and bring it into our shop. If you'd rather bring the bike to us, we can make the key right on the bike.
All new homeowners should rekey house locks as soon as possible after the closing. Once the locks are rekeyed to a new key anyone attempting to use the old key will not be able to unlock the door. We recommend rekeying even if the previous owners are trustworthy because you don't know who else might have keys such as a contractor, cleaning service, healthcare provider or a neighbor.

My most recent visit I needed a spare key for my vehicle. He offered me a key with or without the fob buttons to lock and unlock. It was a significant price difference. I really appreciated the transparency in options. And they assisted me in programming it.

I will begin that I do not know much about FOG keys or a chip on the key. When I arrived I told the young guy I needed a key copy, he asked me model and year, then pulls a book to look at, and told me the price of 60.00 for a copy. I asked again the price, did not heard him well. I declined told him I just need a regular copy because my car did not had and never had a key chip. He complained lightly but went to do the copy. I lost the keys to my 2013 Kia Soul, after avoiding it for about a week because I thought it was going to be very expensive and involve a tow truck. I called Serv U around 12:30 p.m. they said it could take three to five hours for them to get the codes for my key. Less than 2 hours later, I got the call saying the keys were ready to be picked up.… when I got home, the car started right up and the new key even works better. All the employees were very friendly and helpful, they said "make sure you call us if you have any problems" I didn't have any problems, they turned a stressful situation

I bought a used car with only one key and needed to have another key made up. I shopped around and Serv-U had the best price around. I read reviews that steered me away but other places were quoting such high prices. I called and talked to a representative who said they stand behind what they sell so I took a chance and am glad I did. They ordered the key using the VIN and it took about a week for the key to arrive. They called to let me know and I scheduled an appointment to have it programmed. It took about 15 minutes. Tried to get 2 keys cut and programmed. After being told 3 times how much programming and cutting is (which I knew from a phone call I had made prior to going), I was then told they didn't have time to do it. I was there at 5:30 and their hours are until 6:00, however their claim was that with the rush of a crowd and short staff they couldn't do… it. There was absolute no one else in the store and the programmer was standing right there saying he was leaving in 3 minutes. Apparently no one there works until close. Tried to keep my business local but apparently its not wanted or needed enough

I called twice, once to see if they could do what I needed and what it would cost; the second time to make an appointment and ensure they had in stock the appropriate blanks. I was assured I could just walk in and that I would need my vehicle with the key.
So why, WHY, do I take time off from work to drive to their retail store to be told that they are out of stock of the blanks that I had called about earlier that day! Why?!

This morning I realized my remote starter wasn't working, figured it probably needed a battery. I went over to Serv-U because it was convenient, thought I might save some time and money instead of heading to the dealer.
The Serv-U employee popped the back off of the key fob, put a new battery in, had a problem putting the thing back together but finally did. He said he didn't see the light come on or flash when he pressed the button so something might be wrong with the fob itself. We went outside, he tried it, it did NOT work. He suggested I go to a business that sold/installed remote
