Cre8 Music Academy offers four expansive individual music production courses through a unique partnership with Westlake Recording Studios (Rihanna, The Weeknd, Adele, Michael Jackson, Imagine Dragons). Comprehensive professional experience makes the Cre8 Music Academy team unrivaled in music education. Campus Director Al Machera is a music industry veteran. He began as a recording engineer in 1989 at Studio Center in Miami before moving on to Power Play Studios in New York City. Al left Power Play and joined Salt-N-Pepa in 1990.

At its onset, the Cre8 Music Academy curriculum was 40 years in the making. The areas of focus across the courses find their base in 40 years of legendary songs recorded at Westlake Recording Studios. The most important, timeless, guarded secrets of professional record producers were consolidated and merged with modern production techniques.
Initiate your journey. Understand, construct and compose songs for maximum impact in the current market. Establish a solid foundation in music theory, hit song arrangement and track composition. Build and arrange songs aimed at the Billboard Hot 100. Learn Logic Pro X, the industry standard composition DAW, to capture musical ideas quickly and professionally.

I completed all four courses at Cre8 Music Academy and can honestly say that the experience surpassed any of my expectations. The education I received has been indispensable in my career as a musician and creative. Doug has done an impeccable job of creating the program and providing young music artists with the best resources to jumpstart their careers. I'm writing this in October, yet I took the full 4 courses here during June. While sitting here at my home studio, I realized how far I've progressed since attending Cre-8, and how I can attribute most of that to the classes I took during the summer. The teaching here is incredible, and Doug is an amazing educator who wants you to succeed. Alex, Tim, and Mariana were so helpful with anything I needed during my time there. I completed all four core courses at Cre-8 Music Academy, at renowned Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angeles, plus the prerequisite Piano Fundamentals for Producers course, late 2018. As a singer-songwriter, my goal was to gain a firm grasp on music production so that I may produce my own music, or at least empower myself when working with other producers. What a great experience!! I took all 4 courses and can honestly say my abilities and knowledge of music production has grown tenfold! I now have the tools to mix and master a track all by myself and achieve that professional sound I have been looking for! There are many places to learn music production. I’ve been thinking which one I should choose. At the Taxi Music Convention, I met a representative from Cre8 Music Academy. After taking a tour and getting into details, I decided to try.

Came to tour the school a few months back and was impressed.. and now that I’ve reached the end of the full course, I’d have to say I’m more than just impressed. Doug did an amazing job teaching the Inti8, Stimul8, and Liber8 courses, and I felt very comfortable in the environment, as well as with the information. It’s a lot to take in, but there’s nothing but benefits to the knowledge of music making, as well as their help to get you to retain as much of it as possible. As an alumni, I can honestly say Crē•8 Academy was the best educational experience I've ever had. The content taught in the courses is built around what is relevant in today's music industry, and the facility is not only a comfortable learning environment, but a place where students can continue developing their skills even after classes have ended.
