I am David Elder, of Elder Craftsmen and the new owner of L&L Homebuilders. It is my honor to be serving you and the greater Siouxland area. Born and raised near small-town Holstein, I spent the majority of my life in the construction trades and am proud to carry on the legacy Loren and Lynn created that is L&L Home Builders.

From foundation to finish, taking care that each step is worthy of putting my name on. Taking your unique design ideas, fixtures, and finishes, together we will create the home of your dreams.

Services
L & L Home Builders, an Elder Craftsmen company, is located in Holstein, IA. We are custom home builders specializing in panelized homes throughout Northwest Iowa, Northeast Nebraska and Southeast South Dakota, including the Sioux City area. L & L Home Builders, uses Green Home Building practices on its' panelized homes.
In 2001 L & L Home Builders, Inc. began using the advanced method of construction called panelization to produce panelized homes with consistently high-quality framed walls, floor systems, and roof trusses. Simply put, just like your home trusses have been engineered and pre-built for many years, we "panelize" the rest of your home plan as well to build the floor and walls the same way.
Design with computerized system so headers are not oversized or undersized and optimizer lumber use. Rim joists are blown with a closed cell foam insulation for less air and insect infiltration. Panasonic Whisper Green bath ventilation fans used for better air quality, removal of excess moisture and utility savings.
Floor systems, or "decks, " are built the same way. Outside walls may or may not have windows, siding and wiring pre-installed. Decks and interior walls are engineered and constructed to accommodate plumbing and heat runs. Roof trusses, gable ends and all other components needed to make a complete home are then loaded onto specially-designed flatbed trailers, wrapped with tarps for moisture protection and trucked to a customer's home site.
